This entry had to be written a long time ago... but i didn't because: 1.- I was at work (Like it would have stop me before XD) and 2.- After I began taking classes again it had absorbed all the spare time I have left ;___;.

Anyways why hellos?

As you may know about the new tactic Tsunku and UFA to attract the fans: DREAM MUSUME
But what is Dream Musume? It is a freaking new Unit formed by ALL former MM members that are still in near or willing to be part of, on the 13th anniversary of MM creation.

The girls are: Nakazawa Yuuko, Iida Kaori, Abe Natsumi, Yaguchi Mari, Yasuda Kei, Fujimoto Miki, Ishikawa Rika, Yoshizawa Hitomi, Ogawa Makoto and Koisumi Koharu. Konno Asami will not be participating because her contract as news telecaster forbids her so and Tsuji Nozomi due to maternity.

So far this Unit's purpose is so attract attention from the fans. And this is solely me, a cheap marketing strategy to get the fans to stay, to apace maybe those worried wotas from what may be the impending end of MM. Because like it or not, my girls are trying but the Management is not helping at all. To bring the older girls is sign that something may BE wrong.

You see since the massive graduation of the OGs UFA and H!P have been running only on ºC-ute, Berryz Koubou, S/mileage, Buono! Mano Erina y Morning Musume. Eventhough the latter group as their main group, H!P as a whole is not as strong within the public as they were before. Maybe the groups were not as well marketed as before, maybe the quality of the products were not enough, maybe the girls lack personality, maybe the competence is way too strong, maybe the costumes were way too ridiculous, etc, etc, etc.

As long as is this list, it is my what if's list XD. But I can live in the past u___u as much I would love to. It's not healthy ;___;

Also another thing I'm wondering is what they offered them. Because some of them were active, or married, or doing something else like traveling XDDD... but let's be positive about it, shall we?

They will release a new album, “DoriMusu. (1)“, Morning Musume re-maked songs, and two new songs, on April 20th. They will also hold a live tour “Dream Morning Musume. Concert Tour 2011 Haru no Mai~Sotsugyousei DE Saikessei~” (7 cities, 16 stages), starting on April 23rd. Moreover, there will also be a bigger live tour in the fall, in which they will hit 40 stages in 20 cities, which is more than I can wish for.

All in all, it is a great effort from UFA and H!P to promote them. Who does not miss Roman -My Dear Boy, or Daite! Hold on Me, or Happy Summer Wedding? I DO.

On the Next entry I will post why Goodbye. A clue: I think you ALL know what is going to happen on December of this year ;___;

The Ninth Generation: A New Beginning

I think you have noticed that so far, I have not written a word about them. Why you may ask... well, it is due to the fact that I have not followed the eliminatories or the program. As simple as.

Well, recently the new members of Morning Musume have been announced who are: Erina Ikuta, Riho Sayashi, Kanon Suzuki and Mizuki Fukumura (former Egg, former Shugo Chara Egg-2nd Gen).

From what i could collect from other blogs and sites it is that these girls (the first three are formidable, capable, adorable, (insert here more cute and good adjectives), etc, etc, etc.

Now regarding the fourth girl (and this reminds me a lot to the fourth generation ammouncement) was a wild card again... She was, as I said, a former Egg and a former Shugo Chara Egg-2nd Generation (What will happened with CCE?? ;___;)

Anyways here Tsunku discussed his impressions and reasons for choosing these girls:

Kanon: “Suzuki has… pluck, I guess you call it. She’s got good guts. She absolutely won’t show fear or nervousness on her face, and that never-say-die spirit is very important for Morning Musume.“

Ikuta: “Most importantly, she has an unending brilliance to her smile. This is an obvious weapon for Morning Musume. When she encounters things she can’t do, she first thinks ‘let me try it and see,’ and she will do as much as she is capable.“

Sayashi: “Right now, she’s probably #1 at dancing and her expression as a singer is also excellent. In a sense, you could say she’s already ready for battle.“

Fukumura: “From the start, Morning Musume really had a sad, ‘wet’ part to the group’s sound. Fukumura has a latent sadness within her that will create a good kind of ‘unbalanced balance’ in the group.“

... Really to understand Tsunku's reasoning is like trying to read the Coran or the Tora without previous knowledge of the language in which they were originally written...

I just hope they keep Morning Musume running for as long as they can because I would REALLY like to see any of them as MM leader someday.

Well, as the other forums, blogs, etc, I wish the best (they will need it) and to learn anything they can from the older girls (that they will REALLY REALLY need)

Why? Beacuase we are in January and her new Mini Album will be released on January 12th and (like always) I have no money to buy it ;____;

Really, it is too much to ask?? Would'nt it be wonderful to have money after the holidays?

Why I like this song so far:
1. Rock: She has only made pop/hip hop/pop rock songs (H!P style), which is not saying much. The only risk I have ever seing Tsunku made regarding genres was back in the day with Mr. moonlight... This is AVEX we are talking about. So far I like her new direction.

2. Her voice: We have known that she has a rocking body, dancing mad skills and a presence in stage so enviable during her H!P era. We kind of overlook that what got her MM were non of the above but HER VOICE. For a thirteen-year-old girl to have a voice like that... mad.

The Comeback of the Ace

No, Kohapinku is not coming back... I'm talking about the ORIGINAL Ace: Goto Maki.

As you know, due to her mother's passing away, she took some time off for all the preparations needed and also take in the fact that her mother is really gone (this is another vent that happened while I was gone ;____;).

As you know, she was really close to her mom and her passing away really affected her. What I liked about this event was that almost all of the MM OG's were there (Kago was not there) with her at her mom's funeral showing their support and whatnot.

She has launch a new single ONE. Awesome music, really weird japanese PV (not H!P weird XD...) but loving it all. I have to say it is good to have Maki back. Not only she showed she is a hard worker but also you can also see she LOVES what she is doing RIGHT NOW and throws herself a 200% into it.

Yeah I know I have gone M.I.A. for a long time... more like months really.
I was in a really awful funk but I have recover in a 99.9% to my prior self and I think (and really hope) I'll be posting more often than before...

I know I have promised this before but I think this tiem i'll stick to my promise.

So let's go down to business, it has been very eventfull since I left:

(The following list of events shall be according to my value scale of what is important so you have been warned.)

* Graduation Time: Kame and JunLin leave MM.
I have been dreading this since the last graduation... yep, you have guessed, Miracle-chan's Graduation (which was a very memorable graduation, with lots of tears and lots of feelings). I know I may not LOVE her but I RESPECT her work...

Any ways. Kame's reasons are by most her health. I have known for some time that she has this skin condition and that by the first summer concert without the OG's she had it under control... Well, it seems like it was not so true. Current pictures show me the opposite and if it is for the best... then, so be it. I will really miss my erien... She will be graduating not only MM but the entire project ;____;

But then, not only happy to graduate her, UFA/Tsunku decided to graduate JunJun and Lin Lin. My first reaction was WTF!!!! and then I almost cry... I haven't felt like crying per se because like or not they are destined to leave the group at some point.... but not this SOON and not this FAST.

If it was for me, they would have lasted at least, tow more years, make the group bigger, call an audition I DON'T CARE... but are NOT supposed to leave. They were told their services were not required any longer and their plans are to return to they country... I know by someone's blog that according to some surveys made, japanese fans were not happy about the entering of the foreign members to MM and the like (and other really interesting results)... well I guess they may be happy about this decision ;___;

Anyway, now thinking with a more mercantilist and materialistic mind, this smells like UFA - ASIA Branch. Beacuse really Tsunku had his expansion dream, we already have Big Missy, Ice Creamusume and the Korean girl (whom I don't remember her name at ALL... and a potential thread considering the upcoming MM Audition) but what they lack is an entity to unite them and with JunJun and Linlin returning and continuing their career over there... It is really EASY to connect the dots here.

They are letting go (AGAIN) the personalities in MM... THEY deserve better than THAT, they three of them.

* 9 Gen Audition
Yeap, almost every single graduation came with a New generation Audition Announcement. I make it sound like the Antichrist is coming but it is not really that way XD... at least not until the results are known.

A curious fact: Haro Pro Egg will be able to audition.

Here is the translated Tsunku message (translation by Nouciel):

I, Tsunku, who’s done a lot of research in BBS’s (public forums/places of opinions) like Serend and Twitter, will make a comment public here.

The frequently/often asked question,
“Can current Eggs participate in the audition for the 9th generation Morning Musume members?”
will get an answer.

The persons who’re currently on Hello Pro Eggs, who are between 10 years and 17 years old, and have the desire to participate, can do so.
If it’s the case, the persons who didn’t sent the application papers, will still participate when the second part of the judging/examination process starts.

Now those that do not qualify are: Aoki Erina, Tanaka Anri, Sengoku Minami, Kikkawa Yuu, Furukawa Konatsu, and Hirano Tomomi.

Audition equals not only New MM member but also new soloist/group. Now, here comes the hardest part: sit and wait for the results.

* Melon Kinenbi's Saitou Hitomi Marriage.
This was unexpected and a really nice suprise. Most of the OG currently have projects on their own. Some have changed agencies, others have plays (Biyuuden's Miyoshi Erika, for example), other groups (H&A, for example), others continue with their solo careers (Nacchi, for example), others just disappear (Biyuuden's Okada Yui-please correct me if I am wrong on this one) and others get married.

Hitomi is married to a (What a Surprise!) comedian, Hachimitsu Jiro from the comedy duo Tokyo Dynamite... really what is with these girls and comedians? First Miki and now Hitomi. Anyways, I found little translation from what really went down with them and their decision to get married:

Eventhough the guy is known for dating AV actresses, he is a fan after all (he went to most of her concerts while in Melon). Hitomi is lucky THAT way... If only Yuu-chan (Nakazawa Yuuko) was to get married and reproduce sooner ;____;

* Mari Yaguchi (27) is in a relationship with actor Masaya Nakamura (24)
She is my perfect 1.50 m and I was waiting for this to happen.

She left MM for a man, that after the scandal arouse, he left her high and dry... And now she is dating someone younger, good looking and really nice in all aspects. He is part of the D-Boys (Watanabe Entretainment: http://www.d-boys.com/index.php) and eventhough he is practically new to showbiz, I think she will be a good influence in his future career.

What is really nice about this matter is that she made it public, she post it in her blog XD.

Now I know more stuff has happened but I do not currently have the time to sit, read, analyze information and then write, but like I have promised: I will around more often.

Yesterday I was reviewing these H!P related blogs, forums, etc etc etc I always do and I found a little piece of information that got me thinking: WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON IN YOUR HEAD MR. TSUNKU?

Recently, he posted on his blog, his thouhgts on the up coming ºC-ute concert ("°C-ute Concert Tour 2010 Haru ~Shocking LIVE~”). He remarked how the dynamics and power (????) between and of the five girls was better now that ºC-ute has less members. He still feels like the group needs a fresh face.

And to confirm my suspicions, his twitter entry:
“C-ute … add a new member? どうすればいいでしょうか”
Translation: “C-ute … add a new member? What should I do”

I know, H!P is known for creating, disbanding, graduating, adding new members members/groups, but ºC-ute has suffered ALOT since last year: First, little Kanna leaves due to medical reasons, Erika leaves to pursue a modeling career and my dear me Megumi reappears as catalogue model.

The last singles since Forever Love... are so blah! that I'm just listening to them just because, this is not the ºC-ute I am used to. I know they just have endured Erika's departure from ºC-ute, someone that was in group since the very beginnings and to throw some fresh face in will be too soon...

I really don't know how "this" would makes things better... Ok, so ºC-ute has turn into Airi feat. ºC-ute, you have to admit SHOCK was not really a shock to me when Airi was placed in the center and with almost all this song's lines.

Also another thing (not so realted but a potential endangering theory) is the lack and practically non existant information on the Korean girl, winner of the last audition... I can't help but feel weird about this...

The Ganko Family XD

As you know MM. had a TV show: Hello!Morning. As time went by and their popularity grew so did the show with new skits and characters that helped developed their personalities and such.

Well, among those skits that were created appeared a very disfunctional family: The Ganko Family, formed by an abussive but loving father, a submissive but loving mother and two troublesome kids. So far it had nothing of the extraordinary but the fact that in this skit was given to the 4th generation.

Those skits only made me belive even more in 1444 and in the possiblity to think of them like a family than anythig else where Yossy was the father, Rika the mother and TsujiKago the kids XD.

It's not the same...

It's been a while since I have writen my opinion on a matter (lately, I have been reporting news and pic spamming XD) so I'm a little giddy at the moment.

You see, a few weeks ago someone I considered really well versed on the idol world and all related shizz, said something that really got me thinking: MM. is dying, AKB rules!!

First of all, I was the administrator of a H!P forum which I WILL NOT name (they ARE my friends after all) and this place was not really active when it came to MM and the like (spam, few news, not so neutral possition, sometimes ignorant comments and such). In a nutshell, it had a lot of flaws, few people working to improve them and lack of response to do shizz in general (safe drinking XD). So as you can imagine I was near to having a neurism. I was doing the few things I knew to activate the freaking forum and not letting it die.

Then, out of nowhere half the guys started talking about AKB48, another idol group. I was: Ok, at least there is diversity!. I couldn't phantom at that moment the repercussions THAT group could have. Strange comments werew said, people was converted and well... there was something suspicious.

Anyways, after seeing that my attempts were not working I decided to call a meeting to know the opnions of the others, making a KIND but FORCEFUL summary of the year. My friend came trying to save the day (more like his friends' lives) (I was livid that day to be honest) and then that comment came out of the blue.

As a MM. fan, that comment hit me like a bucket of cold water. WHO in their right mind would said so in a H!P adminstration forum meeting? SO out of place. In my head I went: Oh nooo!!! You didn't!!! BLASPHEMY!!! Repent sinner, REPENT!!!! >___<

After that, a discussion on AKB48 began: why love them, why hate them, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. 30 minutes later and the meeting became irrelevant, rendering it useless and pointless. We agreed on certain stuff. To date, I have not seeing or heard anything, safe from a few topics which perfomace were imperatif.

At the same time a few days later I ended up reading an article from SOMEONE whom I AM NOT ALSO GOING TO NAME... he receives enough insults on his blog per day (and no, I'm not being nice). He said similar stuff, that H!P idols play with the wota's feelings, that they were not real idols and him being a veteran wota was going to point them out for the rest of us, novices in the wota and idol world. Acompanied with this article was a video message of the same individual, in which he did a heavy critique on a project that never happened in the end.

Also, HE took the liberty to tell us what to do, how to behave and where to express our wish to make our idols come to ours countries, in which I COMPLETELY AGREE. But they are better ways other than to express disgust and ill-speak in a superiority tone against those that have not the knowledge in japanese language, money to spend and use internet to find about our idols.

In the end, THEY DO NOT have the right to say so. They do not have a master degree or a doctorate in the IDOL world or How to be a wota. Ok, so there is support to what they say: sales are not good, popularity in their own country is not good due to bad publicity, scandals and such. But what really angers me is that fact that just because their idols do not cut it anymore, they leave them and replace them for the next IT (AKB48).

They may argue that AKB48 is better in many ways than MM or H!P in general, that those girls are true idols, and I agree. H!P has the worst publicists and music arrangements I have ever had the misfortune to encounter and listen to, but I have the idea that a fan sticks to their idols through thick and thin, for the richness and the poor (like a marriage XD). Like Kago Ai fans... when she came back, they were there for her. She may have smoked cigarretes, dated a guy twice her age, be involved in scandal after scandal, but they are still there for her. And for that I admire them.

THAT IS WHAT I WANT TO BE FOR MY IDOLS: someone that will still follow them no matter what they have previously done... and if they so easily discart them is because they were not true fans after all.

I'm not against these girls, AKB has good singers, performers, I do not doubt it. What really bothers me is the fact OTHERS like to COMPARE MM. and AKB48 as if they were the same and they are not.

This is a good example that sometimes some covers really ARE good. Recently, I dedicated myself to just listened covers and such... and after listening to Marie Digby's Gibs (A Ribgo Shiina's song) I came to think that I was COMPLETELY DONE with them but, again, I was proven wrong XDDDD.

Well, somehow someone was intelligent enough to do a parody commercial of this song. This commercial promotes five new types of udon of the Nissin brand and as you can see, sumo wrestlers danced in it as a refernce of the same XDDDD.

Well, I've been meditating on what should I do with this blog... I know I have not been updating for so long, and other external issues have araised which have not allowed me to really update.

For a moment i thought I had lost my spark you know... turns out I was bored out of my mind due to personal matters that had been in my head lately. It almost destroyed the fangirl within me T___T (operative word being ALMOST)

Yeah as you may know now another girl leaves the (sinking?)H!P boat... this time is was Kusumi Koharu (a.k.a. Miracle-chan)

Regarding 7th Generation Morning Musume Member "Kusumi Koharu"

At the final performance of of the "Morning Musume Concert Tour 2009 Autumn ~ Nine Smile ~" (Dec 6), 7th generation Morning Musume member Kusumi Koharu will be graduating from Morning Musume, and from Hello!Project. During the 4 years and 4 months she was in Morning Musume, she has learnt the basics as a singer and a talent. And next year, she will turn 18. She's come to learn the base of what it takes to work in a group. And at the same time, she's been working as "Tsukishima Kirari". Based on seeing all of her work so far, as a producer, I felt I wanted to let her have a solo career, so decided to have her graduate. Having said that, she won't be making a singing debut or any other kind of debut right away, and some of the plans are still a bit rough, but Kusumi will continue to work hard for now, while privately taking various lessons. Her own hope is to be a model, so I think she'll be aiming towards a new direction, and taking new steps. So everybody who has supported her so far, please continue to give your support to Kusumi Koharu, and to Morning Musume. Thank you very much!

Former Morning Musume Ichii Sayaka returns to show business after five years

Former Morning Musume Ichii Sayaka, who had a happy retirement in November 2003, joined a new agency this February, and on the 24th announced her return to show business after a five-year hiatus. On the same day, the agency's website included the message, "I will be returning to show business activity on August 25, so I ask for everybody's support," so after half a year of acting lessons and other preparations, her full return to activity will be on the 25th. In the future, she plans to work towards a career as an actor.

In May 1998, she joined Morning Musume along with Yaguchi Mari and Yasuda Kei as a second generation member, and made a big hit the next year with "Chokotto Love", a single she released with Yasuda and Goto Maki in the unit Petitmoni. But half a year later, in May 2000, she suddenly "graduated" from Morning Musume. In 2001, she began working as a solo singer, and in April 2002, she formed "Ichii Sayaka in Cubic Cross" with Taisei of Sharam-Q and guitarist Yoshizawa Naoki. She also married Yoshizawa the following year, leading to her retirement from show business, and had her first child in 2004.

According to her agency, it's a "return after five years", but it's actually been nearly six years since her last public activity. Her immediate plans include opening a public blog on the 25th, and an interview in the photo magazine "FLASH" the same day. On the 30th, she plans to return to TV on TBS' "Sunday Japon". And on September 5, she plans to appear as a model in the "Tokyo Girls Collection" show at the National Yoyogi Stadium.

She also may appear on variety shows as a talent, and may make a return to singing. According to her agency, "She's returning as a talent with a bright and cheerful character, cultivated by her time in Morning Musume, that anybody would love. In the future, she'll be an actor with special and rare talents."

T&C Bomber launching two memorial concerts

Hello! Project unit Taiyo to Ciscomoon, also known by the name T&C Bomber, has officially announced two memorial concerts, scheduled for later this year. The four-girl group made their debut ten years ago in 1999, though they broke up in 2000 after releasing eight singles and two albums.

Since last year, even before the release of their "Mega Best" collection in December, the group's members had been talking with their former management agency about the possibility of a reunion concert as a 10th anniversary memorial. However, the company's response was negative, so the girls began a petition through their official blog that started last year. With the support of their fans, they collected roughly 2,200 signatures as of April 30, ultimately earning their agency's approval for the shows.

It has now been revealed that there will be two concerts. The first is on September 26 in Osaka, and the second is on October 4 in Tokyo. General ticket sales are scheduled to start on August 1, though information about advance orders is available on their blog.

It is being said that their "reunion" is limited to these two dates, so there are currently no plans for later concerts.

Eventhough they were around ONLY for a year... their fans still remember them and that's what make a group like them respectable. Also all the four were very gifted not only vocally but they danced really well and had this aura of professionalism, but at the same time of a group of good firends that wnat to have fun <3

This is the kind of news that really reminds me why I love the OG's and the Golden Era better... they WORKED HARD to obtain a solid fanbase from scratch.

Umeda Erika, a member of C-ute who just started their concert tour, will graduate from H!P on the last day of this tour, i.e 25th October.

Erika Umeda (梅田えりか, Umeda Erika?, born on May 24, 1991 in Minami-ku, Yokohama, Japan) is a member of the J-pop group °C-ute, under Hello! Project. She was also a member of ZYX along with Momoko Tsugunaga, Mari Yaguchi, Maimi Yajima, Megumi Murakami, and Saki Shimizu.

In 2002, Umeda successfully passed the Hello! Project Kids Audition along with fourteen other girls. Eight were chosen for Berryz Kobo with the intention of rotating the girls around. The idea was eventually dropped, and ℃-ute was formed.

On August 1, 2009, it was announced on the Hello! Project website that Umeda is scheduled to graduate from ℃-ute on October 25, 2009, the last day of their concert tour. She reportedly plans to become a fashion model and pursue her studies in the field.

I can believe the did SOMETHING GOOD for ONCE!!! I mean this is High King we are talking about, THE Super Unit (my opnion, of course). If they were to become a permanent group then that would make my day. I felt just like when H&A was announced... so giddy and fluffy inside XD

OMG!!! Welcome be the revivals!!!
Of all the previous units, this was kind of interesting because it had all three main groups with kids in it: MM + BK+ ºC = Aa!

That unit came out of nowhere but it showed talent, specially little (baby face <3) Airi with that high note in the middle of the song. Another thing i remember is Miyabi's blonde hair... but that is just me XD.

*Shin Minimoni:
Yeah, the group is almost formed and I can do anything about it, except express myself on the topic =/

That woman is TOO MUCH!!! Now as a leader I'm sure she won't disappoint at all... still the question still persist: Why do the excentric ones are Minimoni leaders???
Yagu-chan has normal levels of excentricty compared to Mika Taressa Todd who is more than hillarious with her witty remarks XD

yay! for the EGG whom we KNOW is the clone of Kago Ai.
Really I don't know what to think of this EGG in particular... she seems nice and has a great voice... Shugo Chara Egg showed us that, but apart from that. I feel it is too early to make an statement on her so, as Hikki say Time Will Tell... I guess.

Now this is getting ugly all of a sudden... I never KNEW Pucchi was in HIATUS to begin with. They were supose to be gone, or at least that is what I could infere with the Pucchimoni and Tanpopo Megabest. But what really gets me is that Manoeri is there. Don't get me wrong but the kid is nice and all but not because she was in Ongaku Gatas doesn't make her automatically apt to be in a CHOU~~ GENKI!!! group such as Pucchi... I hope she proves me wrong, for real!

Yet another unit led by Yaguchi... man, that girl was really busy even before she left Momusu.

I hope to see more of this group... I did not have, at the time, TIME nor INTEREST for/in them, so I hope it turn out well. The remaining members of this group really have potential and if they were to stay... well it would be awesome x)

I'm sorry if I sound inapporpiate and blunt but it's the truth...I just heard Sayu was a possible candidate for this revival and I kind of feel aggraviated because I liked V-u-den (and their bods too XD) very much; and for me, to include little girls in a WOMEN's group is not fair for the FIRST GEN of said group. They JUST don't have bodies RIGHT NOW... just A LOT of raw talent and so MUCH work to do.

Anyway, I hope i haven't hurt any sensibilities, but it IS my opinion and I have to express it somewhere.

Anyway...

I know I have not been updating and my morals do not allow me to be at peace with myself...

I'm freaking lazy and my randomness levels are too high to write or think with coherence any news.

Right now I'm doing a lot of stuff regarding computer space in my own computer (meaning: I need space and I'm deleting videos like crazy XD).

Also I decided I wanted to write fanfics again. Yeah, there was a moment when this Yankii wanted to be/thought she could be a writer and well, it feels nice to pick up my pencil and random sheets of paper again X).

Finally, I'm arranging my music because i'm tired to listen to the same shite XD... eventhough I have not probably to half of the staff I have... What can I say I'm random and weird like that.

Thank you for your patience and for reading this humble yet corky/weird blog of mine.

Soon i'll update... I have an article going around my mind for very long and I'm trying to see how i want to write it.

So: I'm not dead... yet.

It's the End of the World as We Know It IV

Recently a lot of good news have happened in the the Idol world regarding H!P member and graduated members:

- Melon will release 5 new singles and Beat Crusaders will help them with the first XD
- Kago Ai will release her single <3
- Smile/age... personally I was hoping for the revival of High King T____T
- Mano Eri's new single etc, etc, etc.

But what really shocked me was the news of the Revival of Minimoni... with no other than Kanon (Egg, Aibon's clone kept by Tsunku in the dungeons of UFA) as part of the group.

According to Tsunku, he decided it was time to revive Mini Moni and that Egg member Fukuda Kanon was going to be part of this project. Once I heard of this, the only phrase I had in my mind was: SHUT THE F*CK UP! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU, OLD MAN? (Pardon my French and the capital words)

One would say that after the Graduation of the Elders (and I have to agree with him on this), which was for their own good and for their development as performers and entretainers, the Hello!Project would have more than enough groups (raw material) to work with and keep US entretained for at least 5 years of so of pure cuteness, sexyness, nice pop songs and, why not, more outrageous customes.

And then, when news like this come out, all I can say, as a fan, is that they STILL have too many girls and AGAIN no clue whatsoever on what to do with them. Yeah! They are cute, Yeah! they are talented, but so are MM, Berryz and ºC-ute (Buono! does not count beacuse is a subgroup of two current main groups). They purpose of the Eggs was to serve as back-up dancers of main groups in concerts and of course on PV's, which ironically Haro Pro Kids (Berryz and ºCute) had when they entered the project and that then, later on, form a group of their own.

Then, If we follow this logic then the Eggs are waiting for the current line-up to graduate and let them shine and keep the torch (which was the main purpose of the Elders Graduation... and that they were too old to be considered Idols in the strict sense of the word).

First of all, Graduation will not happen in 6 years or so. Tsunku said so. For me, Takahashi will be the new Nakazawa because she will graduate at 27, at least. Second, let's speak in numbers: more cute girls equals more money, which is fine. The idol industry is based on cute girls, no question about it. Third, I'm all for new groups, sub groups, new unit... you name it and I'll agree 100% with you.

But... and in this there is always a but... do not try to sell new faces and raw talent with a brand name which is, in this case, Mini Moni. This sub group was formed by Yaguchi Mari out of her CREATIVITY. She saw a potential market (kids), exploited with what she had at hand at the time (Tsuji and Kago) and, I suppose after meditating on the pros and cons, she approached Tsunku with the idea of such group.

The group was for kids and aimed for kids. It all went well, even when Takahashi (2nd Generation) entered the group and Yaguchi graduated from it. But when Mini Moni entered in HIATUS, the common feelings was that: All good things must come to an end. The decision was made and Mini Moni was no more. Also if you see their last video, well it is not as kiddy as the previous ones. You can see they were kids no more.

But anyone can refute me: How about Shugo Chara Eggs? Don't they fit the purpose description of MiniMoni? Well... no. You see MiniMoni was mainly for kids. Well, if they participated in the concerts of Haro Pro, that's another story. SCE, while they are kids and the cuteness they exude may appeal for kids, is mainly for otakus that follow the anime they sing for, as well as Buono! up to some extent; althought they are at a different level.

Currently, the mature feeling of the project does not allow this type of market, at least not at the moment. It is contradictory to want them to be one way but then again do the opposite. It shows Tsunku's lack of creativity, really. You do not revive: you recreate, you reinvent, you do not copy... That's lame. Another theory of mine is that maybe they are trying to repeat the formula, they area trying to recreate it to obtain a golden era again... who knows. Still Nono and Marippe approve of it and support it...

Anyway, if they were reviving Mini Moni: would this mean they will also be reviving Tanpopo, Pucchi Moni, Country Musume or Coconuts Musume? Only time will tell. Let's just hope the new MIni Moni is not formed by only Egg members but also by main group members.

Maki Goto (後藤真希, Gotō Maki?, born September 23, 1985 in Edogawa, Tokyo, Japan) is a J-pop singer currently signed to the sublabel Rhythm Zone under the Avex Trax label. Before joining Avex, she was a soloist of Hello! Project and member of Morning Musume. She has performed in numerous Hello! Project subgroups such as Petitmoni, Akagumi 4, 7-nin Matsuri, Sexy 8, Gomattou and Nochiura Natsumi.

In 1999, she was selected as the only member for the 3rd generation of Morning Musume. Their first single after Goto joined, "Love Machine" sold over a million copies, over nine times the amount of copies they had sold for their previous single. During her time in Morning Musume she was one of the founding members of Petitmoni and she started a solo singing career in 2001 with the single "Ai no Bakayarō" (愛のバカやろう?). Until her graduation from Morning Musume she was one of the leading vocalists in most of the songs released. Post-graduation she has mostly concentrated on her solo career and occasionally on limited time Hello! Project units such as Gomattou, Nochiura Natsumi, and DEF.DIVA. As time has passed, she has increasingly concentrated on acting in addition to singing. She has also performed at the Asia song festival 2005 in Pusan, Korea to represent Japan.

In early 2007, Goto was chosen to be a member of Morning Musume Tanjō 10 Nen Kinentai—a unit created to celebrate Morning Musume's 10th anniversary as a group. Morning Musume Tanjō 10 Nen Kinentai also consists of Natsumi Abe, Kaori Iida, Risa Niigaki and Koharu Kusumi. Their single, "Bokura ga Ikiru My Asia", was released on January 24, 2007.

Her seventeenth single, "Secret" (シークレット?), was released on April 11, 2007. On September 19, 2007, Goto's fourth original album How to Use Sexy was released.

On October 20, 2007, Goto's younger brother and former member of EE Jump idol group Yūki Goto (祐樹?) was arrested on the grounds he and two accomplices, aged 18 and 19, had broken into a construction site in Edogawa, Tokyo on July 15, 2007 and made off with 80 reels of electric cable worth approximately 1 million yen.[1] According to Flash magazine, Goto and one of her brother's accomplices had been romantically involved for some time, after the two met at Yūki's wedding in 2005. Due to the circumstances surrounding the robbery scandal, they haven't been in contact with each other.

On October 28, 2007, during the last concert of her G-EmotionII ~How to Use Sexy~ tour, Goto suddenly announced to fans that she would be graduating from Hello! Project, though she was also leaving UpFront Agency completely. Her graduation was said to be that she was overworked and overly stressed, causing her health problems. She also had different ideas of the direction of her career than what her agency had planned. Because of her graduation, she would not be able to participate in the Hello! Project 2008 Winter concert tour, previously said to be because of "scheduling conflicts".

Goto's official blog reopened on March 25, 2008. Over the course of several entries, she revealed that she was in Los Angeles, California, taking singing and dancing lessons. In mid-June, rumours were confirmed that Goto signed under the label Rhythm Zone, an Avex Trax sublabel.

Late in 2007, after her sudden Hello! Project graduation, rumors aroused the very next day stating that Avex's CEO, Max Matsuura, had shown interest in signing Goto in for Avex. During Goto's brother trial, she disappeared from the media-eye.

On March 25, 2008, Maki re-opened her blog during her stay in Los Angeles, where she studied and practiced different types of song and dance, including R&B, jazz and hip-hop. Her blog didn't include any reference to Up-Front agency (but was still on the same address), and it was assumed that her contract with Up-Front had expired on March 1 and was not renewed as expected. Her last blog entry was on April 22.

AVEX ERA

On June 19, 2008 (after many rumors had circulated), it was released to the press that Goto Maki had signed with the record label Rhythm Zone under avex.

Maki debuted with Avex when she participated in the company's shareholders' meeting on June 22, 2008, singing a cover of Whitney Houston's "Saving All My Love for You." She also participated in a-nation'08 (Osaka on August 24 and Tokyo on August 31) alongside with Kumi Koda, Ai Otsuka, EXILE, Ami Suzuki, AAA, TVXQ, Namie Amuro, and Ayumi Hamasaki, among others. On a-nation, she performed the self-written song "Hear me", a song unreleased to the date, drawing media attention for the first time since her graduation. She also sang "Saving All My Love for You", and a cover of Diana King's "Shy Guy".

The SWEET BLACK Project

The SWEET BLACK Project is a cross-media collaboration between J-WAVE, Avex and Mixi. Goto herself chose the logo and the name, which is meant to reflect the “positive and negative” side of the life of today’s women.

On January 5, 2009, J-WAVE premiered “SWEET BLACK Girls”, a 15 minutes segment hosted by Goto Maki and Ryu as part of the popular radio show “PLATOn”. The show airs Mon-Fri and focuses on the life of women on their twenties. Reception was extremely good, as 30,000 messages were received during the first week only.

To complete the project, Mixi, the most used networking community in Japan, opened a special space for Sweet Black, and Avex launched a web-documentary on YouTube based on Goto’s daily routine as a singer. Immediate success was acquainted, admittedly beyond expectations.

On January 21, Goto released her first digital single with Avex: Fly away. The lyrics, penned by Maki herself, are based on Mambo, a story written by young author Hitomi Kanehara, who won the Akutagawa Prize for her 2003 novel "Hebi ni Piasu" ("Snakes and Earrings").

Barely a month later, on February 25, Goto released her second digital single, titled Lady-Rise, also penned by herself. This time, Goto collaborated with Sakurazawa Erika, a Japanese manga author whose works are mostly published in josei magazines (comics targeted to a young women audience).

On March 7, Goto modeled at Japan’s biggest fashion event, Tokyo Girls Collection.

Mari Yaguchi (矢口真里 ,Yaguchi Mari?, born January 20, 1983 in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan) is a member of the Hello! Project and former member and leader of Morning Musume from. She became a member of Morning Musume during the second generation auditions, but resigned suddenly in April 2005. She basically cited her desire to move on "as an adult" with her career. The underlying reason that she had to quit was because it was discovered by the tabloid magazine FRIDAY that she was in a relationship with actor Shun Oguri though she was 22 at the time. Yaguchi and Oguri have reportedly broken up since April of 2006. Yaguchi's TV show Yaguchi Hitori (やぐちひとり ?) continues as before, and she now focuses on Japanese variety shows as guests and hosts rather than ventures on a singing career.

Early on in the group Yaguchi was often perceived as being "the short one" as she did not stand out a lot, but by the time 4th generation joined she had become one of the most active members of the group. Her most famous phrase is "Sexy Beam!" one of her solo lines from Morning Musume's "Koi no Dance Site" single, and she was asked jokingly in Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari, "When will your real sexy beam come out?". The "Sexy beam!" line has made its way around fans and fellow musicians alike. When she graduated from Morning Musume she was the last person to join before the year 2000 (Kaori Iida had left nearly 2 months before), and she currently has the fifth longest tenure of any member, with only Takahashi Ai, Niigaki Risa, Hitomi Yoshizawa and Kaori Iida being in the group longer.

Yaguchi was the drama queen in a Japanese drama series called Sento no Musume (銭湯の娘!? ,daughter of public bathhouse?), Yaguchi was one of the main stars in a Japanese day time drama series called Gyarusa (ギャルサ ,Gal Circle?), along with her show Yaguchi Hitori, and MCing Hello! Project concerts. From May 25, 2007 and up to June 6, 2007, Yaguchi performed in "Damn Yankees", a popular 1955 Broadway musical at the Tokyo Aoyama Theater.[1]

In summer of 2007, Yaguchi was recruited to host a new Gyao TV show, "Midtown TV", becoming her third television show on air. "Midtown TV" airs all weekdays and Yaguchi hosts it on Thursdays. Also, Mari and seven H!P Eggs are scheduled to appear live and with audience on "Ciao TV", a Kids Station show, on 09/02, 19h~19.30h, on what appears to be yet another TV show. With that commencing, Yaguchi will be in four TV shows being aired simultaneously.

It was announced October 19, 2008, on the official Hello! Project website, that Yaguchi, together with the entire Hello! Project Elder Club, will graduate March 31, 2009. A graduation concert was held at Yokohama Arena on February 1, 2009.

Following the popularity of singles and an album released in conjunction with the Japanese variety program, Quiz! Hexagon II (クイズ!ヘキサゴンII ?), Yaguchi released her debut single, "Seishun Boku/Seishun Ore" (青春僕/青春俺 ?), four years after her final release in Morning Musume. She performed the song for the first time on Quiz! Hexagon II on February 25, 2009

Well, after a very silly post I would like to go straight to the dirty stuff X).

I really had the intention to make this post but I kept delaying it because i wanted to do a lengthy post, now I'm not so sure.. but as they say one has to own their mistakes X(.

- Morning Musume - Naichau Kamo
Well, to be honest with you at first I could not bear to listen to this song. The new line-up has a very bumpy ride ahead of them to reach the quality/place Momusu used to have. The song is good in general terms but I still see the formula Ai-Reina-Koharu not only in the front row but also in vocals (Kohapinku does not particpate a lot) which I don't dislike but I'm not so eager to see/listen to either. After a while it is tolerable and kinda nice... still, I'm waiting for another power ballad XD. And yeah Sayu got more lines to sing XD.

As a video: The dance is fine. I like their sharp moves. Another thing I like is the costumes, they DO look normal (for once XDD) for H!P standards XD. It still centers on Reina/Ai/Koharu. At least Jun Jun got to be in front this time XD. The close-ups T____T, the sad faces... somehow I like that part... just don't ask me why XD.

- Berryz Koubou - Dakishimete Dakishimete
After Madayade (A single I would like to forget) I was kinda losing faith in the girls... and I still haven't change my opinion XD. I have lost them since Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance XDD. The song is fine. Also I have noticed the singing line up; it is not that I don't like Risako, Miyabi, Momo ♥ or Yurina, they have very very lovely voices, but I wish they would let the others sing more often. I still wish there were more lines for Captain XD.

As a video: The DJ theme was what I really liked about the video. Saki and Momo as DJs look really kakkoi and kawaii, respectively. Man, some of the girls looked really beautifully, mainly Yurina. If she ever gets tired of this Idol business, she could do good as a model, really with her looks and her height she could totally do it. The clothes, though normal, were OK. The dance me likes very much, it could have been better but it is OK for now. I know they can DO so much better X).

- ºC-ute - Bye Bye Bye
This single... I don't know what to think, really. Tsunku really needs a revamping on music genres. I don't understand how he can give MM much modern beats when the rest of the project still dances/sings 80's music. I have nothing against the 80's, this was the year of the best groups in history in all genres and whatnot, but the song does not cut it for me. I have noticed the lead in this song is (not so little anymore) MaiMai (HA.PI!!), awesome change considering Maimi or Airi got the lead alomst always. Also there is no Kanna T___T, get better babygirl, you ROCK!. I love them... but I hope the next single turns up better.

As a video: Ok the costumes were nice... nothing Madayade-esque. Soft pink in a white background looks bad though with all the lightsets it kinda looked cool. The girls looked cool, they danced so genki-ly but the dance in itself... all was good until the chicken moves. Really, why Tsunku, why??? T______T. What have they've done to you? Anyway, I was hopping for another Forever Love ... but I've got a chicken dance so... XD.

- Buono! - My Boy
It seems that after their second album and after Goal, they are not afraid to do awesome songs. It's like their second album opened new possibilities for them not only as a group but music wise. The single has a very metal/pop/rock kind of feeling. Of course the vocals are awesome: Airi's and Miyabi's voices really work for pop/rock and while Momo's may be high pitched and may remain me of Rika's, she gets better as time goes by.

As a video: The customes... ... were... ... nice XD. Too many bright colored accessories in dark clothes was like a shock to the eyes T____T. I still don't understand why this PV has a dance, obviously the song should not have a dance... at least not one as weak (insert appropiate adjective here)as my almost virgin eyes saw XD. The spy theme: Me likes VERY much! Airi looked very professional X). Momo and Miya too. The three looked very kakkoi <3.

- Tsukishima Kirari starring Kusumi Koharu (Morning Musume) - Happy Happy Sunday
Ok, here it goes nothing.

I have to confess something, I AM a closet fan of this girl, operative word being CLOSET. I have surprinsingly followed most of her singles and I have to say I like her first one (Balalaika) and this one. Why? Because in the first one she looked untainted, very pure, very sweet little girl... somehow I liked her better when she was a kid XD. I like the second song because... in the Elder's Graduation Concert she performed this song with Frances and Aiko as back-up dancers. The little girls dances better than her (even better than Haro Pro Kids at their age and they are eight and six respectively). Anyway, to give Miracle-chan some credit, her song is so catchy and addictive that I caught myself learning the lyrics... Please someone KILL ME, NOW!!!!

As a video: Ok... I'm not gonna lie here... It looks like Matsuura Aya's Kizuna on crack T____T. I would like to think that at the time the people in charge of video concepts were running out of ideas due to the coming graduation concerts and stuff like that. Another thing: The custome... People, please? It was her last vid as Kirarin... they should have given her something normal, the cape was just too much. The other dress was more suitable for this vid.

Well, I hope nobody kills me for this... It is just my opinion, you can either agree or disagree with it, make your choice X).

Lately, after seeing the concerts there are certain songs in which other members like to harrass/touch/grop other members... I like to think that these happenings are not out of a script like most of their programs/concerts/events, but can only wish for I am a mere mortal compared to the Administration and Master mind behind their project.

Sayaka Ichii (市井紗耶香 ,Ichii Sayaka?, born December 31, 1983 in Funabashi, Chiba, Japan) joined the girl group Morning Musume in 1998. She, along with Mari Yaguchi and Kei Yasuda, formed the second generation of members. While in Morning Musume, Sayaka Ichii was put into the spin-off group, Pucchi Moni. Ichii was also part of the Hello Project! Summer Shuffles 2000 group Aoiro 7. She also recorded a folk song album with Yuko Nakazawa.

Sayaka Ichii graduated from Morning Musume and Hello! Project after the single "Happy Summer Wedding" in 2000. A year after she left, she formed the group Ichii Sayaka in Cubic-Cross, trio with Taisei (keyboardist from Sharan Q), and wrote two of their songs. In 2003, Cubic-Cross disbanded, and after a solo single Ichii announced in 2004 that she was pregnant and was to marry the group's guitarist, Naoki Yoshizawa.

- Kaasan is a nick given by Utaban hosts due to her motherly appearance XD.
- The Kohai / Sempai system began with her. She was the sempai to their new acquisition at the time: Goto Maki.
- I listen to Cubic-Cross just to say and confirm that the Second Generation DID have GREAT VOICES... It is a shame they were not given the space and time to shine equally, not only them, all Momusu girls.
- Maki and her were really close. She took her role as sempai seriously... to the point of becoming Maki's "mother".

I tried to look for more information about her... but she just disappeared from the entretaiment industry... FOR REAL. I guess at some point all entretainers/musician/actors are tired to be in the industry at some point or another.

On April 12th, 1985 a beautiful baby girl was born into the Yoshizawa household. Her parents though the name Sayaka would be a proper name for her, but after her father saw her equally beautiful big eyes for the first time he decided that the name Hitomi would be a more suitable name for her.

This post is dedicated to the girl that stole my heart when I first saw her.

Man, people on April 1st really go CRAZY!!!

For those who don't knowwhat I'm talking about (though I really doubt it) here is a little definition (thaks to our sponsor Wikipedia® XDDD):

Well also teh H!P world was not safe on this important day... more like Tsunku was not saved on this day XDDD. It seems that he was victim of practical jokes that day. Anyway I'll just mention two of them XDDD:

1) Apparently, on the H!P Taiwan website, Tsunku published a note announcing his graduation from H!P. On the note he thanked the fans for their support on these 10 years XDDD. When Tsunku-san found out he posted in his blog that he was also victim of fabricated articles posted on pages like Yahoo and Oricon on this matter.

Yeah I know... Another Mr. Moonlight post but it is MY OBSESSION so... Anyway, I saw Ai-chan doing her Mr Moonlight thing in the Wonderful Hearts Winter Concert...

Man, she is getting hotter or what??!! ... I DO envy Chisato. Something I found funny was when the girls were surrounding her the taller ones were like ducking everytime they passed the Brand-New H!P Leader XDDD

Thought I found interesting and nice this performance I couldn't control myself and HAD to look for Yossy's LIVE performance on this songs... I just HAD TO T___T

I don't if I have said this before but I became a MM fan due to this video. It is not only beacuse of my weird liking of swing music or the insane amount of Ishiyoshi interaction (well I was/am/will be kind of impressionable XD) but because that song is not POP at all. This is also one of the few things I'm greatful to Tsunku for: To do a Swing song when you have a Pop music group. That was new at the time when JPop was birthing group after group after group of Pop Idols. You have to give credit to the man... just THIS once XDD

Anyway, comparing the performances of Ai-chan and Yossy:

- Ai-chan may have the voice and certain mannerism... but Yossy has the attitude, the voice and the freaking girl XDD.
- Ai-chan's performance was kind of dead... or maybe it's me who is not used to seeing this song being performed by non MM members.
- Yossy, even in heals, likes to do the jumps almost at the end of this song.
- I have a performance in which girls scream when Yossy does her thing... XDDD This should an indicator of something.
- At least they respected the suit in some weird-twisted way... I have always liked all the suits Yossy wears for this song (the blue one X___X, the yellow one *Q* and the white one XoX... I've just died...)

Something random I have noticed: When Yossy was doing her love declaration in the PV to Mako, Ai-chan was like the witness of this event... for me she looked like: OOOOH! THAT'S how it is DONE!!!... Who would have thought that years after her debut she would be singing the legendary anthem of our beloved PIMP.

Wedding bells are ringing...

MAN! I just found out...

FUJIMOTO MIKI is freaking getting married. The fear of all Yomiki fans has happened.

As a former Yomiki fan I must say I saw it coming. Since Yossy left and the boyfriend scandal happened, those were never as close as before and they were suppose to be close friends/lovers.

A very revealing interview in a show Downtown DX (she practically said that she did not like her time in MM and particularly, that she did not like anyone in MM) just showed what everyone knows but some are really reluctant to admit. At the beginning, she seemed a very difficult person to get along with ... and she had the right to be like that (she used to have a solo career), but after (more or less)4 years in MM it is really childish of her.

Her only real friend is Ayaya (Matsura Aya)...

Anyway, if she is getting married to the guy then she must really love him, or at least like him enough to seal the deal. Good for her, I am happy for her. I just hope does not disappear form the music scene... such good voice must not go to waste.

Former Momusu Mikitty & Shouji Tomoharu
to Wed This Summer

On March 24th, it was announced that ex-Morning Musume leader Fujimoto Miki (24) and comedian Shouji Tomoharu from comedy duo Shinagawa Shouji will complete their 2-year-long relationship with a wedding in July. Currently they are scheduling the ceremony day and other necessities. Fujimoto's agency confirmed the wedding news for our publication.

The agency sent us a fax entitled "The Engagement Report". Within it, Fujimoto explains her joy about her engagement with Shouji, saying, "I'm really happy I met someone who helps me grow, and we really understand and support each other. I would be really happy if you could give us your warm support from now on."

Fujimoto plans to continue with her career, but will prioritize her family.

Furthermore, Shouji's agency published his comment. Being obviously very happy, Shouji said, "I've been captivated by Miki's kindness and straightforward personality, so I decided it's about time to seal this almost 2-year-long relationship with a wedding. From now on, we plan to clasp our hands and work hard towards reaching happiness together."

Also, neither of the two plan to open a press conference regarding this engagement.

Well, Now the SECOND GENERATION of Morning Musume: Kemeko, Ka-san y Marippe.

Kei Yasuda (保田圭 ,Yasuda Kei?, born on December 6, 1980 in Futtsu, Chiba, Japan) is a Japanese singer, musician and actress under the Up Front Agency's Hello! Project. She was a member and co-leader of the J-pop group Morning Musume. Yasuda, along with Mari Yaguchi and Sayaka Ichii, were the second generation of singers to be recruited into Morning Musume. Morning Musume had only released one official single, Morning Coffee, prior to their joining.

Yasuda attended Kimitsu Shogyo (Commercial) High School in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, but dropped out to pursue her dreams in the entertainment industry. She worked in a McDonald's restaurant in her hometown, until 1998.

After the second generation joined, Morning Musume went on to produce one album and three more singles until Asuka Fukuda decided to leave to further pursue her studies. Yasuda was given almost all of Fukuda's lines in future performances of these early songs. She had also collaborated with other Morning Musume members in special projects during these early days. One of the more notable ones was when she co-wrote and co-sang with Natsumi Abe the song "Sanpo" for a radio contest. It became wildly popular and a petition was circulated to make it an official single, though that never happened.

Yasuda and Ichii sang a particularly catchy duet known as "Otome no Shinrigaku" (Girl's Psychology) on Morning Musume's second album. In response to the popularity, Tsunku decided to group them together with the third generation member, Maki Goto to create Morning Musume subgroup Petitmoni (also known as Pucchimoni) in 2001. Their first single, "Chokotto Love", has sold over a million copies since its release.

After Ichii left Morning Musume and Petitmoni, fourth generation member Hitomi Yoshizawa joined the subgroup. Yasuda had taken on the role of leader of Petitmoni and the group continued to produce three singles and an album.

After Morning Musume's then-leader Yuko Nakazawa left in 2001, Yasuda (who was the oldest member of the group at the time) became a co-leader along with Kaori Iida.

Yasuda left in mid-2003 at the same time when Morning Musume's 6th generation became full-fledged members. Tsunku commented that this one-time sixteen-member formation will be the largest Morning Musume. During her good-bye concert, Yasuda sang a remixed rock version of "Never Forget", which was also Fukuda's good-bye song. Additionally, as a special gift, Tsunku gave Yasuda a CD of her own solo version of "As for One Day", her last single with Morning Musume.

Following Yasuda's leaving, Iida was given the title of leader of Morning Musume and Yaguchi was given the title of sub-leader. The Petitmoni leadership was handed over to Yoshizawa, and two members were added (fifth generation Morning Musume member Makoto Ogawa and Coconuts Musume's Ayaka Kimura) and Goto was removed. This new line up of Petitmoni never had another release, but a few of their songs were featured on compilation albums.

Yasuda is still in the Hello! Project after leaving the group, and has acted in dramas outside of H!P. Within H!P, she has collaborated with Nakazawa and other H!P artists on 2 Folk Songs albums, performed and MCed Abe's first solo concert, sang backup on Goto's single "Daite Yo! Please Go On," and had hosted Morning Musume's weekly TV show Hello! Morning until Rika Ishikawa took that position. Yasuda had participated in the H.P. All Stars single "All for One & One For All" and the Puripuri Pink shuffle unit. Puripuri Pink was a new type of shuffle unit, since it was the first unit to feature former Morning Musume members, who were usually not included in the shuffles.

During a promotional appearance on Utaban in 2004, Yasuda even revealed that she has been learning how to play the flute.

- She is one of the must talented in the music department: not only she can sing but also plays musical instruments (piano, saxo, flute). Just listen to her rendition of The Rose in YouTube... Superb!
- Her vocal range can go from Pop to freaking Enka (In her graduation special in Utaban, they made her sing Enka XDDDD... in a scenery resembling a cementery XDDDDD).
- She is the sempai of Ishikawa Rika. They both have a close relation nowadays... So much they go drinking with Yaguchi Mari and Yoshizawa Hitomi, both former MoMusu members.
- Her house is referred as the Kemeko House (kind of like The White House) by Yossy, a place to go for a couple of drinks.
- She has a fixation with English... I think is was due to Ayaka's English Lessons XD.
- Nowadays her career revolves around acting. She has performed in countless theater plays, sometimes with H!P members (V-u-den Miyoshi Erika and Okada Yui, Maeda Yuki, Melon Kinenbi, even Haro Pro Kids, I think).
- She also is know for being an "intense" person (she literally sweats buckets XD).
- Also, she is the first to have the KIMOI/KISHOI character in MM. The second is her kohai, Charmy XD.
- UTABAN was the show in where she gained "popularity". The hosts pestered her so much that at one point her mother and her asked them to stop the jokes about her... but then she was grateful to them at the same time... a really conflicting relation they have XD.
- She has the most dinner shows with Yaguchi Mari... Still has XD
- Kemeko, her nickname, came from a character from one of the skits in H!M.
- Personally, I think she does not fit with the description of "idol beauty" but when dressed properly, with proper make up,etc. and etc., she really turns into a real beauty.

Oops! I Did It Again: Another Ai Scandal

Well, something happened that really shocked me:

In January, FRIDAY reported a romance between Ai Kago (20) and actor Hidejiro Mizumoto (33), but the rumor was denied by Kago's agency at the time. Now, the matter has surfaced again, as Mizumoto's ex-wife is seeking damages against both Mizumoto and Kago.

Mizumoto and his wife, Asato (25), had divorced on January 8, before the FRIDAY article had appeared. But Asato claims that the reason for their divorce is that Mizumoto and Kago were having an affair. As a result, she is seeking monetary damages, reportedly on the order of 10 million yen from Kago and 50 million yen from Mizumoto. She is also asking for some of Mizumoto's assets and child support for their three children. The judge has apparently already received Asato's claim, which means that the matter may be taken to court if it is not settled.

Kago met Mizumoto through his mother, the psychic Yoshiko Shimo, whom Kago had often consulted before her comeback to show business. The pair reportedly became intimate after working together on the movie "Benten-dori no Hitobito," which opens in April.

Asato plans to submit Mizumoto's script for "Benten-dori no Hitobito" as evidence. In the back, Kago wrote a message to Mizumoto, which included lines like "I love you" and "If we get married, I want to have a boy," ending jokingly with "This message is a work of fiction."

It is also said that Kago has been living with Mizumoto in his apartment in Kanagawa since the end of last year. Asato has obtained photographic evidence of Kago's underwear, clothes, cosmetics, and other items at the apartment.

Kago's agency has declined to comment.

Ai (I refuse to call her Aibon... she wants to be treated as a grown up) is growing as fast as she can, but not as she should. Being an adult is about being responsible of your acts. There are times I think she is still as before: a girl who wants to have a good time and makes fun of everyone around her.

Anyway, I hope this circus is over soon. Eventhough I do not approve of her behavior, I don't want her suffering anymore.

H!P Around the WORLD!!!!!

It looks like everyone in H!P and outside H!P is traveling abroad.

Recently it looks like all the girls from H!P are out and about doing presentations everywhere.

Before there was only Hawaii and the places were they would go for the girls PB's. Also where they promoted some athletic event (Sidney 2000 Olympic Games). Then there was the preparation of Taiyo and Ciscomoon for their debut in three different states of the USA to receive training in singing, dancing and acting (I think... they did that for the debut training of Nacchi; they send her to NY). Then there came the funclubs: Taiwan, Korea and Hawaii (Even Hong Kong).

Recently this year Marippe and Nacchi went to Iceland... really funny how those two communicated with the locals XD. Also there is the travel of Yossy and Maichin to the jungle, but those were due to a challenge given by a TV show.

Nowadays, I have noticed UFA has taken interest in the H!P fans outside Japan. More so after the comments of Mitsi who would like to travel to Mexico just to meet with the fans of Morning Musume.

And after years of only watching them by dvd/you tube/movies/tv shows our prays have been answered and they are travelling abroad TT_________TT (Yankii is so HA*PI).

This year is THE YEAR for us HP fans:

1- Hangry & Angry will be in Seatle in April.
2- Morning Musume will be in Los Angeles in July.
3- Buono will be in Stockholm in May.

They are going out there, meeting "NEW" fans. I hope someday I get to meet them too TT________TT...

Asuka Fukuda (福田明日香 ,Fukuda Asuka?, born December 17, 1984) is a Japanese pop singer, and she was a member of Morning Musume from 1997 until April 18, 1999.

In 1997, Fukuda joined Morning Musume along with Yuko Nakazawa, Aya Ishiguro, Natsumi Abe, and Kaori Iida. Although she was the youngest member at that time, she was the first to graduate in April 1999. She left to continue her schooling and rumors of a return to a musical career have not been realized.

Her current job (as of July 2005) is working as an assistant at her father's night club, Philippine, in Tokyo.

- A month or so ago, I saw her graduation concert with subs... Such a revealing video really. She just couldn't waiting for the concert to end. She wanted out, badly. I guess being young and in show business affects people differently.
- In 2006, she was interviewed. She declared that she really hates it when the customers (from the bar she works in) ask her to sing Morning Musume songs. That's what happened when you come from a really idol group.

Well, it has been a long time since I've made a biography from MoMusu... so , yeah I will do another XD. So now it's Nacchi Time!

Natsumi Abe (安倍なつみ ,Abe Natsumi?), born August 10, 1981 in Muroran, Hokkaidō, Japan, is a Japanese singer and actress, and a former member of Morning Musume. Her nickname is Nacci or Nacchi.

Abe was one of the first members of the group chosen in 1997. She was also the lead girl for many of the singles especially before Maki Goto joined, most notable in "Furusato" where all the other girls sang harmonies/back-up only. Abe has had a few solo songs including the theme for a commercial she was in, and "Otoko Tomodachi" from the album 4th Ikimasshoi!. She also has lead roles in Morning Musume productions like their play, Love Century and their movie, Pinch Runner. Abe also has done quite a bit of acting in television dramas such as Nurseman.

Abe never was a part of any Morning Musume subgroup, but led each shuffle group she was in. She was also the lead of Morning Musume Sakuragumi until her graduation at the end of the Hello! Project Winter tour on January 25, 2004.

She released her first single, "22 Sai no Watashi", on August 13, 2003, just a few days after her 22nd birthday. Her first full length CD was released shortly afterwards, containing many solo versions of Morning Musume songs.

At one time, Abe was the most popular member of Morning Musume, and many songs featured her as a lead singer. However, it wasn't until the summer of 2003 that Abe officially went solo. She graduated not too long after that, in the early winter of 2004, to continue on with her solo career. She continued to release more singles while actively participating in other Hello! Project activities such as concerts, the special soloist group Nochiura Natsumi with Aya Matsuura and Maki Goto, and the Hello! Project super shuffle unit song "All for One & One for All", sung together with all other soloists and groups within Hello! Project at the time.

In late 2004, there was a plagiarism scandal with some of her essays and poems in her photobooks which were copied off works by other artists, and she took personal leave for three months. During that time she ceased participation from all H!P-related activities, including Kaori Iida's graduation concert in January 2005. As a result, an album scheduled for release in early 2005 was canceled. A single named "Nariyamanai Tambourine" that was supposed to be released on January 26, 2005 was also canceled (instead, "Yume Naraba" took its place in April 2005). She returned in February 2005, and has been participating in Hello! Project activities once again, most notably the Nochiura Natsumi's tour.

In August 2005, her fifth single "Koi no Hana" was released, and she also became a member of the Hello! Project special unit DEF.DIVA together with Maki Goto, Rika Ishikawa and Aya Matsuura. The single "Takaramono" was also released in November credited as "Sen", who is the main character of the drama "Takaramono", played by Abe. In the spring of 2006, Abe had a new single "Sweet Holic", together with a new album "2nd~Shimiwataru Omoi". June 2006 saw Abe release "The Stress," a cover of the 1989 song by pop idol Chisato Moritaka.

In 2006, Natsumi and her sister, Asami Abe, are scheduled to play the title roles in a Japanese TV drama about the 60's Japanese pop duo, The Peanuts.

In late June 2006, some time after the release of "ecru", online hate campaigns were started against Abe because she was accused of killing a national treasure tortoise in the DVD making of. The making of doesn't show her even touching the tortoise. It was moved, but it was done by the production staff, not Abe herself. Most people consider this just another attempt by media to make another scandal. Abe herself has refused to make comments and it has not affected any of her Hello! Project-related activities.

In October of the same year "Amasugita Kajitsu" was released and reached 5th on the Oricon Chart, the highest place she achieved since "Koi no Telephone Goal" in 2004.

In early 2007, Abe was chosen to be a member of Morning Musume Tanjō 10 Nen Kinentai (モーニング娘。誕生10年記念隊 ?) - a unit created to celebrate Morning Musume's 10th anniversary as a group. Morning Musume Tanjō 10 Nen Kinentai also consists of Kaori Iida, Maki Goto, Risa Niigaki and Koharu Kusumi. Their first single, "Bokura ga Ikiru My Asia" (僕らが生きるMy Asia ?), was released on January 24, 2007.

Abe is to be prosecuted after causing a traffic accident on October 6, 2007. According to police, she was making a right turn out of a car park on Sunday evening when she hit a motorbike. Abe was unhurt but the rider suffered minor injuries to his elbow and back. Abe has had her driving license for less than a year and still has a learner's sticker on her car.

On August 31, 2008, Abe Performed in an event "Japan Festa by Mainichi" in Bangkok, Thailand.

On October 5, 2008, Abe performed in an event to mark the 30th anniversary of the Sunshine City building in Ikebukuro. She was joined by other artists who were popular in the 1980s, such as Hiroko Moriguchi and Ayumi Nakamura.

It was announced on October 19, 2008, on the official Hello! Project website, that Abe will graduate from Hello! Project along with the rest of Elder Club on March 31, 2009.

- Her younger sister, Asami Abe, is also a J-pop singer. The kid doesn't sing bad.
- She is living and breathing proof that even though you may screw up time after time, you will comeback for sure.
- In one interview (more like a show)Aichan said to her: that just because they were known for coming from a province... Her ever smiling face totally transformed. I understand Kaorin and her are very zealous about their teen hood before Morning Musume because they are both from Hokkaido. I don't think she is ashamed her origins... It's just something you don't talk about on air.

I don't really know how to feel about this: KIRARIN REVOLUTION WILL END ON 3/27 WITH 51 AIRED EPISODES.

This itself has no meaning for most of us but it does to the little Miracle-chan's fans. I think I have said before I just really don't like this kid. I mean she just won because God-knows-what were Tsunku's reason (just like when he picked Aika: because she was apathetic enough).

Anyway, there went my hopes of her graduation XD... She is a nice girl, it just that they give too much camera time (I can understand why Aichan or Reina... but not her)and the Kirarin persona is something I could never digest well (You could never tell the difference between Koharu and Kirarin... to the point that she really does not have a singing style/signature... just the annoying high pitch register of Kirarin).

Well, Kirarin/Milky Way/Ships will be graduating in their coming concert: Final Stage (Such an obvious title XDDD). Let's hope that the rest of this anime cast/singing project continue with their singing career... specially the rest of Milky Way.

Prince Charming: Prince Franz VS Prince Christopher - Part II

Damn it! Damn you Disney movies... I've just noticed I mixed up the names. Who the hell is Erick?, I guess I will never know.

Anyway, continuing with this post, it is now the turn for Mame-chan (A.K.A. Sexy Bean).

When the Cinderella musical news happened, also casting guesses happened. I personally thought the Little Monkey or the Turtle or Jun (Hell, even the Cat) were going the take the male role, for they are obvious choices, at least for me. They don't only have the appearance (Ai-chan with short hair and a suit is just so Kakoi) but also the voice (in the case of the Cat I don't know...but She can do a really mean Yankii personification XD). And for the role of Cinderella... I didn't know what to think really, but Sayumi was really an option (She is a pink lover like Charmy).

Anyway, the casting came and for the prince: WHAT???? USOOOO!!! MAJIIIIII!!! MAME-CHAN AS PRINCE!!!??? NO WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And as for the princess: Oh! Ai-chan!...nothing new there, I was kind of expecting it anyway.

Well, it is no surprise the fascination of Tsunku with Ai's singing abilities. I really think she would have made a nice prince... in Ribbon she did both roles and she was not that bad as a guy...

I think this is enough evidence that she has a manly trait in her XD (The good part begings in minute 5:12)

Mame proove not only her ability to sing (listen Johnny he no Deggon of Cover You or Yurushiai Tasukeai of Ribbon no Kishi)in a musical but also as a male in in the previous musical.

In the search of her princess, her acting was nice, believable even...

She does suffer to find her... really cares for this girl with no name

She really did a great job as a prince... The only objection I have is that maybe they would have done something else: Cinderella was a story that could not really be exploited as Ribbon was. The musical was too simple for me. Maybe next time they will decide for another manga...who knows.

Ah! Another objection: I wanted an effing kiss XD... To many hugs but not a single kiss X(

Curious fact: Gaki was given boots with platforms due to the fact most male roles in takarazuka theater is done by very tall women. She said it felt nice to a little more taller than usual... as if upper air was cleaner XD.

Anyways I think this is more than enough to reach a veredict: I think I will stay with Charmy as Prince Franz... Gaki could have done better but the musical was not working on her favour.

Nothing seems to stop them: The Third PV of the Taiwan Branch

Damn it! I still have not recover from their Renai Revolution 21...just to be attacked again. Yeah, they did it again, their new PV is: Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou? (Chinese version)

Man, such a good song... This could rival Furusato...but that, of course, is just my opinion. The japanese version has nothing to envy it, really. Both versions are really cute and lovely.

Anyway let's begin:

FIRST: School theme
Ok I can understand the school theme because the song (roughly) is about "doing our best". The best way to face the world is study and make the best of it, etc, etc, etc,... such an idol concept(or in general, really... because it could be applied to a lot of things). Of course there is always the nostalgia of what may happen with all that we leave behind once we graduate or leave the house or whatever, you can really feel it.

SECOND: Dance
Well, no dance on this one. They spend the entire time standing or doing school activities (painting or writing or PE activities... I don't kow why but it made me remember the Mechaike Okajo and Bakajo XD). Something like a dance happened with the umbrellas but I don't really know.

THIRD: Music arrangements and clothes
The song was not bad... It was right for them, the arrangement. Very pop-ish like the rest of their mini album. The clothes were fine... for beginers they really are covered, showing only the necessary which is cute.

Anyway, that was just my opinion, I'll leave you the video to be the judges.

Prince Charming: Prince Franz VS Prince Christopher - Part I

Ever since the news of a new musical for MM appeared, I was dying to make a comparison.

You see, me liking takarazuka is fine (due to the fact that most shoujos are made musical by this type of theater); but me liking of takarazuka plus H!P is just too much for my fangirlism.

Anyway, a few days back I was cleaning my desk and after putting some order in my extended collection of dvds with tons of H!P stuff... all courtesy of my best friend, Veoh (when it was still available in Latin America) and Stage 6 (that WAS one of the most awesome download pages)... I came across Ribbon no Kishi, The Musical. I had not seen it in months. So after seeing Cinderella I have to see it again to determine who was better: Prince Franz or Prince Erick

When the Ribbon no Kishi musical was announced I was: OMG! Yossy is going to be finally THE PROVERBIAL PRINCE XD! and Charmy THE PROEVRBIAL PRINCESS! HA-PI! (as you know V-u-den as also going to be in the musical).

But I didn't count on Tsunku's plan on putting Ai-chan forward once again as Sapphire and in the decision to put Charmy/Nacchi/Ayaya as Prince Franz. I was in shock... I couldn't picture a way-too-girly Ishikawa "Charmy" Rika as a prince. Come on!, she is even too girly for jeans!(Just skirts and short shorts for her, please! XD). Yossy was given a villian role and my little hope for an Ishiyoshi, musical version was crushed to tiny pieces.

Before the musical I was a little skeptic of everyone capabilities to pull through a manga based musical, let alone an Osamu Tezuka manga. Thank God, the God of Manga was there to supervise their work which really help to their success.

Charmy as a man is something else really...

She is such a brat XD...in a good way mind you.

Then, the part that really made me fall in love with her, not only for the fighting scene... but due to the feeling she puts in this part:

Her voice is breaking... like she can realate to her character: wanting to see their love one but at the moment it seems like an impossible task to accomplish. I almost cry at this part... it really was painful see that kind of sorrow.

This is why I think they chose Niigaki for a male role... anyway, in this part the three are way too awesome. No doubt about it.

Curious fact: Charmy was said to be the best among Ayaya, Nacchi and herself as the prince. She may not have the abilities of the other two to sing pop songs ( or at all as some may say), but the other two lack her ability to hold a high note which is really needed for a male role.

The Taiwan Branch does it AGAIN XD

The other day I was listening to the new single and PV of Ayaya (in which she looks ABSOLUTELY CUTE... this really reinforces my intent to travel to Japan and become a professional stalker XD) in You Tube. The PV is kind of dull but the song and Ayaya completely makes up for it... Anyway, after the video I was looking at the related videos section and to my surprise I saw a new video of the Ice Creamusume: their cover of Renai Revolution 21.

So let's dissect the video, shall we? XD

First: Clothes
Still with the same fur boots. 1st and 2nd outfits (turquoise and pink, respectively) are really cute, so IDOL-ish.

Second: Dance
The dance coreography was really simple...as simple as in their first PV. The only interesting part is almost in the last two minutes of the song where the girls show some kick-ass steps. They DO dance.

Third: PV
I think I have said this before but anyway, I'll repeat it: I REALLY HATE green-screen videos. But in this case it was so nicely done I just couldn't turn away. It has a Mini Moni - Lucky Cha Cha Cha kind of feeling. They even do the robot walking thing which is completely CUTE!!!

When I saw the panda I was "WHAT THE F**K?"... It really turned out to be a cute character and an asset to this poorly choreographed PV but who knows maybe in the future they will dance more.

Fly Away - Maki Goto's Comeback

At last, one of the most awaited moments in the history of H!P happened: The Return of Gomaki.

As most of you know, she was part of the agency until October 28, 2007 when she annouced her graduation from H!P due to stress and health problems. Also at the time there was the problem with her brother and her alledged realtionship with one of her accomplices in the theft of 80 reels of electric cable.

Maki Goto's return to music

Maki Goto is officially resuming her music career with a dance tune titled "Fly Away." This is her first new material since nearly a year and a half ago, when she voluntarily suspended herself after her brother Yuki was arrested for theft.

"Fly Away" is a collaboration with young author Hitomi Kanehara, who won the Akutagawa Prize for her 2003 novel "Hebi ni Piasu" ("Snakes and Earrings"). Both are participating in a Mixi-sponsored cross-media project called "SWEET BLACK." For her part in the project, Kanehara has written a short story titled "Mambo," which Goto used as the basis for the lyrics of "Fly Away."

The song, which is being released under the name SWEET BLACK feat. Maki Goto, goes on sale digitally through Recochoku starting on the 21st. Although there are currently no plans for a CD release, it is not out of the question. Goto may also collaborate with other authors in the future.

A preview video for "Fly Away" is now available on Avex's YouTube channel and on her newly updated website.

All I can say is that I'm happy she is back... she is the living proof that there is a brighter future for the garduates of H!P.

Ice Cream Musume... The Taiwan Branch House XD

As you know part of the expansion plan of Tsunku into Asia is to recruit girls from the neighboor countries to create fan bases. For this motive, contest were held everywhere. The result: Icecream Musume.

The Tai girls (as I like to call them) are formed by the 4 finalist and 2 wildcards.
The first four came from the New Star Audition. The other two were eliminated in the beginning of the contest. Then by some miracle (and I'm not talking about something really Koharu-miracle-esque XD... how she made it to the Finals is still a miracle to me... The album is good, they are really gifted, they pull through. For me they sound weird becuase I just listen to Jpop and Kpop.Their only song by them is really catchy...and it is preferable to listen the original version than the Japanese version.

What I don't like is that Tsunku made it simple, there were not arrangements whatsoever, safe for Morning Coffe... It looked like Tsunku took the instrumentals of those singles for them to sing. Such a shame really!...But they have pull through.

Another thing: is it just me or Ice Cream are a bunch of look alikes? They are cute and all, they will appeal to the Japanese fanbase...because some look like MM OGs. One of them looks like Nacchi... with the hair cut and all. Anyway I will explain this in another entry because right now I'm not at home XD!!

I think I will cancel the poll...
Yous see, me being Latin American, specifically Peruvian, makes me want to write from time to time in Spanish... but the thing is that I express myself better in English XD.

Spell check aside, I think I can fend better in English than in my own language... In Spanish, we tend to use a lot of useless words that in English could be easily expressed in, at most, less words. For example, we (Spanish speakers) use 10 words to express our happiness. In English, it could be easily expressed in 4 words or less.

Thta's what I call economy of the word. XD

And also, there is the fact that most of my readers understand and know English, so I would be an inconvinient to write in Spanish.

Maybe, someday I will write in Spanish...but right now I'm lazy so bare with me. XD

Right now I'm in Los Angeles....freaking cold in here let me tell you....but still loving it...It is my first trip in Xmas Eve and to California....I have been before to the US but to Miami...Also my first trip in 8 years...

Kaori Iida (飯田圭織, Iida Kaori?, born August 8, 1981 in Hokkaidō, Japan) is a Japanese pop singer and actress, associated with Hello! Project and best known as a founding member of the girl band Morning Musume. She has also recorded with the Morning Musume side project band Tanpopo and is currently a solo artist.

Kaori Iida was one of 10 runners-up in a 1997 talent contest for a new Japanese rock idol. After the contest, musician and producer Tsunku offered Iida and four of the other runners-up (Natsumi Abe, Yuko Nakazawa, Aya Ishiguro, and Asuka Fukuda) the chance to be taken under his wing on one condition: that they sell 50,000 CDs of their song "Ai no Tane" in 5 days. The quintet accomplished that task in four and, thus, in 1997, Morning Musume was born (and their first official single "Morning Coffee" was released in 1998).

In 1999, Tsunku placed Iida into subgroup Tanpopo with Aya Ishiguro and 2nd generation Morning Musume member Mari Yaguchi, and they specialized in singing slower, more mature songs. Together they made four singles and an album. After Ishiguro graduated from Morning Musume and Tanpopo in January 2000, Iida and Yaguchi performed Tanpopo songs as a duet until Tsunku placed 4th generation Morning Musume members Ai Kago and Rika Ishikawa into the subgroup. Tanpopo's style was also given a revamping, with songs being more upbeat and pop-ish, but nonetheless still slower than Morning Musume. In this formation, Tanpopo released 3 more singles, a compilation album, and a compilation DVD.

After Morning Musume's then-leader Yuko Nakazawa graduated in the Spring of 2001, Iida took on the role as the group's leader. Additionally, when Morning Musume "split" into 2 subgroups in 2003—Iida was leader of Morning Musume Otomegumi. She is also known for keeping her hair long throughout her Morning Musume career and also for spacing out frequently.

In July 2002, Tanpopo, along with other Morning Musume subgroups Petitmoni and Mini Moni, experienced changes in their membership - partly due to graduating Morning Musume members and partly to showcase the newer members. As a result, Iida (along with Mari and Ai K.) graduated from Tanpopo.

As with Hello! Project's shuffle groups, Iida was placed in punk-rock Aoiro 7 in 2000, folky festival style 10-nin Matsuri in 2001 and Odoru 11 in 2002, and ska-punk 11Water in 2003. In 2005, she participated in the shuffle group Puripuri Pink. She is the only member of Hello! Project to have participated in all the shuffle groups since the tradition started.

Additionally, Iida is pursuing a solo career as an artist and singer. Her solo musical career includes two albums outside of Hello! Project where she sings covers of French, Greek, and Italian songs (in their respective languages). She also has two singles in Japanese, released in advance of her impending graduation from Morning Musume—though still set in a Mediterranean-esque style; many Western fans of Morning Musume and Hello! Project have described the style of Iida's solo material as "Euro-enka". In Morning Musume, Iida mostly sang harmony with a few solo lines. Her signature song in Morning Musume is "Yume no Naka", from the group's first album.

On December 29, 2004, Iida released her third album, this time within Hello! Project and in Japanese.

On January 30, 2005, Iida—the last First Generation member to still be in Morning Musume—graduated from the group to further pursue her solo singing and art careers. Mari Yaguchi took over her role as Morning Musume's leader upon Iida's graduation. In early 2007, Iida was chosen to be a member of Morning Musume Tanjō 10-nen Kinentai (モーニング娘。誕生10年記念隊, Morning Musume Tanjō 10-nen Kinentai?) —a unit created to celebrate Morning Musume's 10th anniversary as a group. Morning Musume Tanjō 10-nen Kinentai also consists of Natsumi Abe, Maki Goto, Risa Niigaki and Koharu Kusumi. Regarding the last piece of information of the biography I, personally, think she is a really strong woman. If I remember correctly her baby died 6 months or someting like that...She attended to an event with Abe Natsumi over ecological issues, doing the maths, her baby had alreday passed away by that time...

But what I can still digest is the fact that not even fellow first generation member, Yuuko Nakazawa, knew.

Aya Ishiguro was a runner-up in a 1997 contest to find a new female rock idol. Ever since I was a kid I was a musical fanatic. The classic of all classics: Singing In The Rain, was the first movie I ever saw.

Since then I have not stopped loving this genre. I has not only acting but it is alo mixed with music and dancing (which is really a MUST in my book). You may wonder what does this have to do with the HP world? Well, in the past years the OG's have participated in various musicals (most recently: Fujimoto Miki in Grease; another favorite of mine)and after hearing Za Charmy was going to be in another musical I thought : "Well, good for her".

But after knowing it was "Opera do Malandro", I was OMG!

First of all, I did not know that Brasil produced musicals. No offense to the Brasilians that enter my blog or in general...It is only that I really did not know.

Second, what is the 44 going to say? The plot of the musical screams carabet to me.
The plot goes like this: After a fight in a known night club, a singer (Margot)is fired. Her boyfriend (Max Overseas) tries to get revenge to the owner by seducing his daugther (Ludmila).

Third, can she pull something like this? I know she will be graduating from HP soon and it is time to "step-out" of this virginal-eternal-girl image the OG's and herself have. Also she has done it before (She did Dam Yankees), but I am not sure she is ready fro a drama.

Anyway, I know she can do anything she puts her mind into. I will be looking for news of this next year for sure. =)

A couple of days ago something really shocked me.

The news of Kaorin's baby boy's death.

Parents shouldn't bury their children... It is the other way around.

But also what really surprised me more was that only Tsunku knew. Not even Yuko, who was since the beginning with her, knew.

I know she is entitled to her privacy and it IS a family affair and all... but not to tell even to your friends...

I did that... I often didn't tell anyone what bothered me... Let me tell you that is not healthy at all.

Anyway, she seems to be recovering (which is really though) and wants to come back to the industry.

Well, Good for her! I wish her the best, always!

Of New Singles and PV's II

Lately I have found a trait in singles released by HP. Specially for Buono!, ºC-ute, and Berryz: First is Buono, then Berryz and finally ºC-ute.Additionally, throw a scandal and you will get great sales. At least the last one went without a scandal XD

Anyway lets get down to business:

These singles are generally good and acceptable. I like the thematic in both Berryz and ºC-ute singles: the OL world. Even though in the Berryz single it is more exploited. Buono's single had a more 70's - 80's feeling...or so they say in the making XD.

Now let's do the massacre single by single:

1) Bouno! - Rotara Rotara
What can I say about them? I really like this trio. They have a great combination of voices, looks and dance that really appeals. They are pop but they still have the right amount of rock that, in my opinion, can entrance you into listening all their discography in one go (and it is not large mind you). About this PV: let's get to the point, shall we. The girls look as cute as ever, they sing very well, the clothes not that rock-ish but still beautiful, concept of the video well done; but song, out of place.

Why? Because if you are going to release a song that has an 70's-80's feeling, make sure the music is right. For me the song was out of place: who in their right mind puts a way too rock-ish guitar solo in the song when the atmosphere in the PV screams 80's POP? That kind of inconsistencies was not done since MM release of Mikan. I have nothing against Mikan, It really is a great song but it was wasted due to the green-screen-made PV.

2) Berryz Koubou - Madayade
I really like these girls because, even though they release PV's with really weird video concepts, they are still followed and loved. Personally I still have not listened to many of their singles or albums, but what I could, I liked so far...yes, even the nefarious Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance; I tend to like songs that have nothing to say or have lyrics with no coherence at all XD.

What I like about this PV: the effing song and the OL theme. That's all. Now the treatment of the song's theme, the dance (How weirder can it get? Come on!)and the alternative wardrobe were just to much for me. I really like these girls but if Tsunku is going to do what ever HE thinks is BEST for them then maybe he should reevaluate and delegate more often. Things tend to be a little bit better when he is not involved.

3) ºC-ute - FOREVER LOVE
Well, I have said before that this group is really THE PROVERBIAL APPLE OF MY EYES, and they still are. These girls began with a very pop-ish sound, like any other HP group, but since last year their sound has began to change for the better. All of it is due to the following formula:

Mature sound + Mature appearance + Really Good Voices = Great Music (At least for me).

Nothing beats that. At the beginning I had my reservations about the song because it is rock-ish. For me it was kind of forced. Their voice as a group is not really made for a rock style of music, I think. But GOOD for them, they really proved me wrong when the PV was released. It really blew me away, not only the music, but the dance and overall the wardrobe. The heck, I can see future Mr. Moonlights between the girls XD.

The Hand of God - Kill Me Kiss Me PV

Damn it. Why God? Why? Everytime I leave Internet for 2 hours something happens. At least it was not Sunday this time XD.

After work I take french classes at L'Allinace Francaise here in my city. Normally I turn off my cellphone when class begins (like any normal person should do) and after class I turn it on again to listen to music (while the maintenance of my mp3/mp4 lasts).

So I was on the bus, on my way home, when I turn on my cell and receive a message from my friend: Girly, connect as soon as so you can to drool over THE prodigy. I though he was talking about the new PB of Reina (Very Reina). Usually we like to discuss (and drool) over the PB's, clothes, scenery and the like.

So when I got home, I turned on my computer and began my daily search of MM/HP search. While searching in a forum I normally enter to there was THE prodigy my friend was talking about: The Hangry & Angry - Kill Me Kiss Me PV.

I was OMG, early birthday present XD (So that you know I was born on November 18th, 1984...yeah I'll be 24...practically an oba-chan, but who cares =P)

First of all I don't know what I was expecting but at least is close. Personally, I like the close-up parts and when they play with the H&A dolls. The air guitar with the actual guitars was kind of awkward but how cares? 1444 is in a unit together, only them (they were together in a unit before: Sexy 8, with half the history of HP - meaning Michiyo Heike XD)

The make-up was really awesome, their hair in the close-up shots was lovely. But what really got me freaking out (in a good way) was at the end when Yossy goes all timid (just like the real Angry) and Rika shows her sociopath side (just out of the loony bin XDD)(just like the real Angry) and ends up throwing her doll at the camera. That was the highlight of the PV for me.

I almost forgot: The Hand of GOD. That really was some groping XD...Za Charmy Rules. Really, you would expect that kind of groping from the Groping Queen herself XD but not from Charmy-san.

Now I am more than inspired and pumped up to play with Photoshop. XD

Changing of subject...well not really I wonder if the tour rumors are true. I think a tour is good and all but at least they would not need a larger repertoire for that, don't you think? At least 10 songs to make a good concert. Maybe they will release new material? who knows... for all the official websites and other sites (forums, myspace, etc) say this is a one time unit...my question really is: I understand the promotional lives but why the international tour if it is just a one-time unit? Why spend money on promoting a unit that will be no more? The myspace site is for promotion, I totally agree with that; but why the blog in Oricon? ...

I think these and most of (all really) questions and doubts about this unit will be answer in the coming months. All I have to say is that they are awesome just the way they are now.

One more thought: More almost kisses, more fake kisses and more of the Hand of God XD

What ever the future holds

As you know, and I think a great part of the HP, MM, H&A fans, the next song Romantic ni Violence was release. Is it me or every song is better than the other?

What can I say? The song is awesome...though I like Angelia better. Their voices sound heavenly and they can't get hotter than they are now. Those two girls have chemistry like no other group in HP (GAM is another story altogether). I really can wait to the release of this mini-album.

Yesterday (or more likely today at 1 AM XD), I was talking to my friend in the msn. He passed me the link from YouTube to listen the new song. I was blown away just on the first seconds. Since Angelia I think, they have sounded more grown up than ever and this song was proof of that. If there was a PV, everything would be alright with the world (and also with my mind).

Anyway, a though came to my mind: now that they will be graduating from the project and all;in order to remain in the music business, they have to stick together if they the want to survive.

For example: if they were to become soloist, they would not last long. Rika has improved over time and she sings better than before. As for Yossy, I am not that worried about her. Still their talent would not be enough to compete against institutions such as Ayumi Hmamsaki, Hikaru Utada and the like. Also, just like Maki and Aibon, they both have the HP stigma, which is a complete setback (carrier wise speaking).

So if they want to continue, they have to break not only the proverbial mold but also make a great impact and what better opportunity than by doing this Hangry & Angry gig. Not only it is a change of music genre but also of look. Most of us have grown accustomed to see Rika from cute to sexy to damn hot; also with Yossy, from cute to funny to really handsome. Hangry & Angry just proves that their capabilities go beyond pop. Not only challenges them vocally but also in the matter of style (music, clothing,etc).

Nowadays, Tsunku has been more than busy not only with his own family but with his restaurant and other businesses. It is not surprise that the last singles are different: Tsunku has no participated whatsoever in any part of the production (Ex: Pepper Keibu-MM).

Also most of us know that mini-albums are really not that good, but this mini-album releases good song after good song and so on. If the others turn to be as good as the previous three, I would feel a little disappointed and saddened that this unit was a one-time thing.

Well, on November 05 Wallflower will be release. It will be a good song, just like the others. I only have a request to those that produce them: Please MORE HANGRY & ANGRY (very quietly but insistingly: MORE ISHIYOSHI).

It's The End Of The World As We Know It II

I have never thought I would see this day. To be truthful, I have mixed feelings about this. As most of you may know the graduation of all the elders club has been announced a few days ago. All the history of Hello Project will be wiped off on March 2009, so the others left behind will continue carrying "the torch".

It is like almost every Sunday I get news (either bad or good) of HP, MM and others. I am getting kind of tired of it, if not pissed.

When the news appeared, hordes of people through the web express their sadness and discontent in forums, blogs and the like. The general question was: WHY TSUNKU? WHY? YOU SON OF A ***** TT_____TT. While everyone was cursing his mere existence, his reasons for such massive graduation extravaganza were that after the 10th anniversary concert the OG's felt out of place and that this was good for them to expand their horizons and he would support them all the way and all that jazz (well, that is my interpretation). Then this was backed up by Nakazawa Yuko (a.k.a. Her Majesty, the Yankii Queen) that it was time for them to step out of the "IDOL" label and work for a better future. That now the younger were in charge of the Project and us, the fans, should support them in this new phase.

I understand it is part of LIFE to pass the torch to the younger and let them grow too. What I do not understand is why leave so soon. Yes, most of them have worked in the company from a very young age (for example little Maimai), most were back-up dancers of great names such as Matsuura Aya, Goto Maki, even Morning Musume. But as I said before, there an epidemic illness called "Lack of character" that they suffer too. This means or all are cute or all are cool. Individualism is not part of their dictionary or maybe it is easier to behave the same to avoid failure. Maybe Tsunku have not told them to began creating their characters...who knows. The thing is that for me they are still inexperienced to lead such a project with such a name.

Then we have the OG's, the original girls that created the fame of said project. The girls that practically paved the path for the younger generations. They created THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS. These are the girls that went through a lot under the watchful eye of UFA. The first to do stupid skits and shows and be embarrassed on national TV (See all UTABAN Shows...). These girls worked their ass off just to be where they are now. But maybe, where they are now is not enough for them.

Let's face it people, the OG's are only doing tv shows, fan related presentations and other things that were not given great amounts of money to UFA (And it is known what UFA is all about). They are not even releasing singles that often (not even Nacchi has released more than 3 singles this year, which is the average in HP artist/groups >.>). Like I read during these days: they are just sitting around collecting dust. Most of these girls are talented, they do not deserve this. I would prefer for them to be doing what they want than doing nothing at all and if that a means graduating then so be it.

Am I happy they are leaving? No, not at all. They are just victims, like everybody else in this project, of the Tsunku Management. Some of the girls in the Elders Club have not made even a single or career as soloist (Tsuji, Makoto, for example). Am I happy with the girls left behind? Not that much. I love them, yes, but I still find them inexperienced. In moments like this I just wish the sempai-kohai system was still around. The OG's have the experience the younger lack.

On March of 2009 will be the graduation of the entire Elder Club from HP and also the beginning of their new lives as real artists. I wish I could go just once to see them (It was one of my dreams to know not only Japan but go to a MM concert when Yossy was still around) and even if they decide to remain in the business or simply disappear in the anonymity of normalcy, they will always remain dear to me.

Damn it. I leave the internet for a freaking morning and I get to be the last to know. It kind of sucks. Well If you don't know (though you may know by now...because you learn it before me), there is a new unit: HANGRY & ANGRY. The members: Yoshizawa Hitomi and Ishikawa Rika. Freaking Mr. Moonlight and Charmy.

I was like: OMFG. God, take me; this time, for real. No seriously, I was excited. And when I get excited, I tend to laugh, but like a maniac. So I was laughing in my room, and my mom was like: "are you ok in there?". I have to admit at first I couldn't recognize them until I saw the lips close-up picture. In my head I was: I know those lips XD. Until I watched it closely I didn't know it was them.

So I decided to tell my friend, the one I turn into a MM fan. Send him a message to his cell, to enter to the msn to talk, that I had great news and all that. He said: "I already know...since this morning. Didn't you know?" How I was suppose to know if I teach catechism on Sundays? Like duh. Anyways, I was in a frenzy looking for information and photos and anything I could get my hands on.

After listening the song for like 15 times, i started to play with the photoshop. I end up with two nice walls (at least for my standards...I'm not that good, yet). When it comes to these two I become inspired out of nowhere. Maybe I'll post the walls here later.

Anyways, let's begin.
The looks: an hybrid between punk and goth loli. I have never been fan of the goth loli, but on Charmy-san it looks perfect. Obviously Yossy look better than perfect. She has the voice for that genre...and now the looks too XD.

The song: they sound better than ever. In someway they complement each other where the other fails. They do a great duo. I may know jack about music arrangements, but I know when I am hearing a good song.

Right know I'm:
Waiting for the f**king PV XD XD XD I expect at least an axe in the PV...If i'm correct Hangry and Angry are two cats; one punk, the other goth lolli. Angry is the one practically sweeping the floor with Hangry; and Hangry always ending beat up by the former.

What I don't like is that there people out there saying "i don't like this...", "I don't like that...", "This is the worse ever", etc, etc. With a simple "I hate it" would have been more than enough. I suppose they have something to say, but don't use reason such as clothes or make-up. Criticize when the sales are not good or for more valid reasons. The good thing is that fans (either fans of 14 or 44 or of them both) are defending them. I think that from 10 comments, 08 are in favor, which is a good indicator.

For the moment, let's hope to see the PV soon, and that this unit is not a one time thing, and the kisses keep on coming, and for more gothic lollita clothes for Charmy, and for more rock-ish songs for Yossy, and for them to be always paired up in future units...too may wishes and so little time.

Pepper Keibu Yo <3!

At last the new single of Morning Musume: Pepper Keibu.

Pepper Keibu is what I was expecting and so much more. But before I began with this entry, let's do some history here. Pepper Keibu (No. 4 in Japan Charts) is the debut single of the group Pink Lady. Pink Lady was, is and will be the stereotype for girl bands in Japan. They used skimpy costumes with really catchy bubblegum songs...Yeah, they were the FIRST to do THAT! XD...and the rest came with the same formula: two or more girls with poppy catchy songs and skimpy costumes or what was trendy at the time.

This song has been covered by GoGo7188 (I refer their Hyokkori Hyotanjima cover), Mizrock (you really not should see that one...is like precious living time wasted) and now Morning Musume. Mizrock released the cover this year but seriously is not really as good as the one of MM.

Their second single would be S.O.S. which was used in an anime as background song (Anime: Kare Kano, I saw the anime thus I KNOW)and was sang along when MM and Pink Lady did presentations together. It would also be their first No. 1 in music charts.

Returning to Morning Musume, the 37th single was planned for its release. Speculations began: was it going to be a ballad like Furusato?, was it going to be any good?, was it going to be another Mikan?, was an act of god going to happen and kill Kusumi XD(I ask for forgiveness from the Kusumi fans...I just don't like her on certain days)?

Fans were growing impatient. I was growing impatient. I had already listened to Ai and Risa's version from their drama, but their version as a group was another story. Then the single came little bye little: First came the infamous 5 last second with Sayumi saying her first line in Japanese (at least is not her HELP ME as in Resonant Blue XDDD), then half the video and finally the Low Quality Full Video. You Tube was full with previews but what called my attention was that when Dohh Up uploaded the video in High Quality, the website crashed. That was like 2:30 in the afternoon and you couldn't entered until the next day to the website.

Now let the massacre begins:

The video was like watching one of those live presentations in the 70's or 80's. I like that disco era feeling. The costume are so Pink Lady (Even though the original ones were more shorter) which is a big plus in my book. The dance was so cool. So new era Morning Musume. You can really appreciate not only their dance moves have improved but also their dance routines.

About the song: well I'm glad everyone got something to sing even Lin Lin and Jun Jun...in her solo with Gaki you can see why Tsunku had chosen her, such a strong voice (> o <). I'm really loving this single in particular. It is likable and as I have said before this 70's - 80's feeling is what I dig the most.

Let's hope for a single like that again. Their next album is going to be COVER YOU where they will do covers of Aku Yuu, famous Japanese song writer. I want a new version of S.O.S. XD.

Kiss Kiss Kiss

No, this entry will not be about Bouno!'s single with the same name, but about a PV with an infamous scene that has shocked every ishisyoshi fan (specially me) out there. Just a few days ago the release of Ongaku Gatas's new single "Come Together" brought new expectations within the fans of how the new single will be. I have to say it did make me remember a little of the Beatles due to the title.

I could see that the fans were generally happy to this release. It meant the group was not a one time thing. Also it would mean more IshiYoshi time, which I'm really grateful for XD.

So let the massacre begin: I could speak my mind about this PV but a lot of people have already said too much and me putting my quota ain't going to change what they say.

Let's get realistic here: the PV was not what everyone was expecting of them. The single was not what everyone was expecting (Though the B-side it's kind of interesting). Thus making this PV kind of boring except for the last seconds of it.

If it wasn't for those seconds I would have not paid attention to the PV at all. The second I'm referring to are of the "KISS" between Ishiyoshi.

Now these seconds I saw them first separately from the PV. I still remember that day (more like night, actually ...)I have just came back from work and was doing my routine search for fanfics when I came upon it in a blog. At first I was like screaming (not so loudly, mind you) and thinking: "At last! Now I can die happy".

After practically jumping of joy in my room I told my best friend, made him see it too. He told me: "There something fishy in this, something is not right".

Then, after verifying this in a forum I'm subscribed to, I discovered it was part of the new PV of Ongaku Gatas "Come Together". ">.< I was all a freaking scam from UFA TT_______TT ", I remember coursing UFA more than ever. Then after my anger phase, then came depression phase (which I really didn't fell...work does that to you XD) and then acceptance phase came. Still it will take me some time to get use to the PV and the song is not so bad after the fifth time if you just listen to it.

At least the single has a B-side which is kind of interesting and is more like the other songs from their first album. Now I'm only waiting for the V version (I want to see if there are more versions of the video and the making that may have more "interesting" things =P).

Returning to those endless seconds where the prince kisses her princess (how I wish) some think is a marketing strategy; others, the second coming of a GAM like couple. Personally, I think they were fooling around with the minds of little wotas like me...but I don't mind being played if it is by them XD.

It's The End Of The World As We Know It I

These past days what began as a rumor ended up being (cruel for some, joyous for others) truth. Personally, I have mixed feelings about this. Well, let's recap so you can understand what I'm talking about.

As you know part of the franchise of HP, mainly MM, is their weekly tv show: Hello Morning (or HM - Haro Moni). It began in 2000-2001 (correct me if i'm wrong in certain facts, please) as a show to present HP new releases of (at the time) Morning Musume, Taiyo and Ciscomoon, Melon Kinenbi, Michiyo Heike, Country Musume, Coconuts Musume, and other HP solo artists. This show had the lenght of 15 minutes, no more no less. It also let their wotas be "near" their favorite idols (to know personal info and all that) and the girls the opportunity explore more their "character" in the group.

As their popularity increased, so did the time of the tv show. The previous organization of the tv show (interviews to other artists out of HP or inside HP, a little game and the presentation of new releases or a live presentation)changed forever. I believe it was when the 4th Generation came that they started to develop more segments or skits into the show as well as new characters.

On the skits and segments we have: At the bus station, The Police Station, Ganko Ken, At the train station, HP News, The entrainment/Magic Restaurant, Eric Kamezo Maido Aari, Yossy Yo Check-it out Yo, Mini Moni Chiccha and lots and lots of mini challenges to win food. This challenges left me thinking that maybe they do not eat well or at all XD. On the characters we have: Charmy Ishikawa, Loveley Takahashi, Kyamei Eri, Eric Kamezo, Pinky, Pi Mako, Majure, The Obachan from the Train Station, Tarako, Kazunoko, The Ganko Family (Ganko Ittetsu, his wife Kemeko and their children Hitotsuji and Futatsuji), The Police Officers Nakazawa, Yaguchi, Tanaka and Takahashi, Hitomi Crow, Michiru and Chiruchiru, The Kindergarden tecaher Abe, Fumimaro Ayanoujo and all his relatives, Goro-san from Furano, Kemeko obachan, Johnny Kago and Tony Tsuji, Francisco Makiel and many many many more. Obviously the ratings were favorable for the show.

Likewise, as new members came, the number of characters and of new skits increased. But what it failed, at least for me, was that the original purpose of the show was forgotten: the new girls couldn't develop their characters because they couldn't see beyond the already established characters. There was the yankii girl, the idiot girl, the cute girl, the cool girl, the spacey girl and then the new girls. They were not given screen time, they were not "alone" before a camera or given an specific character or role in the skits, they were always accompanied by their sempais.

By 2007, the organization of the program returned to what it was but with a little twist: The name change to Haromoniat, the interview part was replaced by them commenting on videos starring them (very short skits, some of them funny and some...very worrying or really stupid), there was not new releases promotionals, the challenges for food were still present and the occasional live performance by HP groups releasing a new single. For the first time the showing wasn't really "working", the fans were complaining and it just didn't have the same feel as the prior format.

Not even a year has passed and just a week ago it was announced the show was going to be canceled for good. After reading this I felt like "What the f**c is going on?". But it was foreseeable the show was not liked, was not watched and practically vouched by their own wotas, the rating of less than 1% said it all.

For me the show was not good at all, but what was remarkable was that the girls (the current line-up) were making the effort to improve the situation they were in. Some of the concepts of the videos of Mou Tube (their only segment XD) could have worked as permanent skits, some have weird characters (like Doi Takako XD) just as lovable was the ones in HM.

Anyway, the last show will be on September 28. At least I still have VeryQ (starring Berryz Koubou and ºC-ute). Let's pray for the coming of a new show for MM.

Family Betrayal

Two weeks ago, my mother and I prepared a buffet-like lunch for all my familly. The reason: my becoming a professional and finishing all my course at university, obviously successiding. Of course my two sisters with their families came (they have three children each), my favorite aunt with her husband (one of the few father figures I recognize as valid) and my cousins and two aunts and an uncle came. I live in an appartment of 90 m2 (not much space x__X). Obviously my brother was there and my dad went M.I.A. ..as always...continuing with this entry...I have a niece Ana Lucia (Nana for short)who is the eldest right now. I love her to pieces and she is also my goddaughter. Anyway she is three years old and I spend a lot of time with her.

As a result I kind of "expose" her to the music I listen. My listening preferences being quite vast, I made her listening from metal (Led Zeppelin -always the classics, of course-) to HP. I remembered she once danced to a metal song...she Is funny AND cute like that XD.

Anyway, when I introduced her to HP music, I began with what may appeal to her the most: W - Robo Kiss. I put the mp3 cd I burned in my discman (when it was still alive ;__;) with the biggest headphones I had. She began bouncing her head, thus meaning success on HP XD.

As time passed, my discman died and I couldn't listen my music. My discman died between January and March of this year and with my final courses at university it death was in perfect timing for me to study better. After my course, and obviously after passing it, I decided to give myself a congrats gift. I made a budget to fit an mp3/mp4 player and a cellphone (my old one was already dying XD).

So when I could I filled my mp3/mp4 with music and videos I was in Hp heaven...until I decided to make my niece see some videos and it happened to be that day of the buffet-like lunch. She practically rejected all MM videos except Hey Mirai (or as she referred to it "the videos with all the doggies"). Also she liked the video of "the girl that wakes up and dances all around the house and over the table" (Fujimoto Miki - Boogie Train '03), the video with "the robot girls in a factory of ice cream" (Mini Moni - Lucky Cha Cha Cha), the video with two girl - also known as the suki-suki song - (W - Robo Kiss) and the video with "the three girls dancing in the beach" ( 3nin matsuri - Chu Natsu Party). At least I got her to like a song of Charmy XD...TsujiKago kidnapped her mind easily >___>

That is why I feel kind of betrayed by my little girl... Maybe due to her age I can't expect much from her, but still I need a heiress XD...It doesn't matter I can wait for her to be 5 to understand better XD.

My Yankii Heart

I would like to dedicate this entry to my first love: Nakazawa Yuko xD. When I first saw Koi No Dance Site she was the one that stood out for me...I think she had blue eye contacts on her. Before given my personal opinion of the Mother of All Yankiies in HP I'm want to make a summary of her life...THANKS to WIKIPEDIA, my most faithful friend when it comes down to search for information...Yeah, yeah I know, but I'm lazy by nature so bear with me, please?

Yuko Nakazawa (中澤裕子, Nakazawa Yūko?, born June 19, 1973 in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese pop singer and actress, best known as one of the original members of the all-female J-pop group Morning Musume. Currently, she is a solo artist within Hello! Project.

Yuko Nakazawa was one of five runners-up in a 1997 talent contest for a new Japanese rock idol. After the contest, musician and producer Tsunku offered Nakazawa and the 4 other runners-up (Natsumi Abe, Kaori Iida, Aya Ishiguro, and Asuka Fukuda) the chance to be taken under his wing under one condition: they must sell 50,000 CDs of their debut song "Ai no Tane" within 5 days.

In 1998, shortly after Morning Musume's formation, Nakazawa began a solo career, beginning with enka styled songs. She gradually moved to a more pop sound, but has recently gone back to enka with her eleventh single, "Urara."

Nakazawa has been a regular featured singer on Hello! Project's "Folk Songs" series. She was also placed in Akagumi 4 in Hello! Project's 2000 summer shuffles and Puripuri Pink in Hello!Project's 2005 summer shuffles, as well as participating in H.P. All Stars along with most of the rest of Hello!Project in 2004.

Being the oldest of the 1st generation of Morning Musume—she was 24 at the time of formation and nearly 28 upon leaving the group—Nakazawa held the role of the group's leader until her graduation on April 15, 2001. She has cited her reasons for leaving as being her age (she was 14 years older than the youngest member of the troupe, then 13-year-old Ai Kago, at the time of her departure) and her desire to pursue other things by the time she was 30.

Since then, Nakazawa has done some work in Japanese dramas, performed in various plays, and continued in her solo singing career at a steady pace with reasonable success. She still works closely with Morning Musume and hosted their weekly show Hello! Morning (first regularly, then occasionally), until its end in early 2007.

Personally, Nakazawa was, is and will be the only LEADER of MM. She has that aura that made you fear her, respect her and love her at the same time. Also the girls that were under her care during her time as leader have a certain discipline and direction in their careers. If you do not count Kago, the rest have fairly normal careers (Tsuji and Johnson are making their comebacks). I think she liked and loved all the girls she worked with (specially TsujiKago, even if they almost gave her a coronary for every prank/stunt of theirs).

About her singing career, she does have a very beautiful voice. It is a shame her singing career, as well as the rest of the (older) soloists of HP (with the exception of Matsura Aya), is not as promoted as the ones of the (younger) groups. Most of her song are ballads or poppy songs to be listened to, not to be danced to. Particularly I do not listen to enka, thus those of hers I do not listen or like.

Well, other information I could gather up was that she worked as an OL (office lady) before Morning Musume. She, along with Ishiguro Aya and Yasuda Kei,is considered to have real life experience that the group lacked at the time. As most of you may know she is considered to be an "older sister" figure within Hello! Project (More like Oba-chan if you ask me XD)but is also famous for her aggressive, yankii-like personality (this characteristics was very much exploited in the Hello Morning show and she is considered the original Yankii...the second is Miki and third, Reina xD). She used to be a big fan of punk music. At one point, she hated bananas so much that she felt repulsed just being in the same room as them. She is not a big fan of technology meaning she does not use phones and is known for not answering the phone (so much so that Yasuda Kei has said it is a "miracle" if Nakazawa answers the phone). Also she was the first person I knew to cry of laughter (the second is my boss xDD). She was once rumored to have a relationship with Masahiro Nakai (it was said she spend the night with him).

The Thread Battle: Real or not.

First of all I would to apologize to those who wrote comments in my blog. If they were erase and I did it, I am deeply sorry...I do not want to suspect about anyone...but let us just pray that is was I who did it and not someone else.

When I first became a MM fan I passed for different ships before settling in Yossy, and Charmy and 1444. At the beginning I was a Nakazawa fan (hence the Yankii Heart xD) and still am, but not in the same degree. Then TsujiKago came and their insanity with them. Those two were way too cute (and too hard for me) to ignore, then the rest came along. All had a special something (not only physically but their personality) that made me like them very much. I had my own division at the time for them:

- The Yankiies: Nakazawa, Fujimoto and Tanaka.
- The cute girls: Charmy-san, Lovely, Konkon, Omame and Michishige.
- The little ones: Yaguchi, Kago, Tsuji and Gaki-san (when she entered MM).
- The highly connected ones: Iida and Kamei.
- The tomboyish ones: Yossy and Ogawa.
- The rare looking ones: Yasuda (Kemeko rul-z)

In the end, I liked them all. But after that life-altering day when I first saw Mr. Moonlight, let’s just say I saw the light at the end of the tunnel xD.

The more I listened to them, the more I liked them. And after a while I began to wonder: Are there any fanfics about them?

When manga and anime appear in my life, so did the fanfiction. Till this day I can not pass my day without reading a fanfic in whatever anime or fandom I have (currently MM). I would describe myself as a fanfic junky most of the time xD, I do not want to control it, much less stop it.

So, surfing in the net for fanfics written in English of MM or the HP was really and ordeal. There is not really much fanfiction well written. There are few writers with blogs and forums with a fanfic section. In my surfing thing the first fandom I found was Yomiki and YES I WAS A YOMIKI FAN! If the first fanfiction you read is Almond’s Memoir series, it is obvious that liking this pair is inevitable. They are too kakoii together, also I dig the narrative of the story. Prooves of them being together strengthen my obsession, even the most silliest of pictures (most of them of Miki groping Yossy … or anyone for the matter xD). That was my first episode of addiction/obsession.

At the same time and in the same blog, I found oneshots of another pairing: Ishiyoshi. Those fics change my perspective about potential pairings for Yossy. This fics with the first Ishiyoshi blog I ever read (Kata-san’s Yossy’s Heya and the other two with proves of its existence) helped to change my pairing likes. They were not and important factor because I myself had my suspicions about them, they just clear the view. The videos (backstage footage is the best to look for proves), the HM, the pictures, their live performances and other stuff made think: Maybe, just maybe, there is something more about them. My second episode began and with vengeance XD.

After my conversion, I became a fulltime Ishiyoshi supporter and let’s keep it like that (channeling a TsujiKago moment XD).

After visiting websites and more suffing I encounter a phenomenum taken out of a freaking high school classroom: Ishiyoshi VS. Yomiki, which one is the real deal? Then when I learned of the “attacks” of Yomiki fans on Ishiyoshi fans and vice versa, I could only think: What are they? 5 years old?

People, one thing is to like a pairing and spreading the word and another very different is to attack people in their mails, insulting them on their preferences and whatnot. The basis of human rights is showing respect to others regardless of their nation, color, beliefs and sexual orientation and in doing the contrary is like bitch slapping them. Come on! It is not like the Yomiki fans or the Ishiyoshi fans have strong proves for their speculations. That is what they really are speculations: One can only hope for them to be real until proven the contrary from those involve. For all we know it can be scripted by UFA.

If it was up to me Ishiyoshi would be real, get married, have children and grow older together. But that is not reason enough to disrespect others. The solution is way too simple: If you do not like it, turn around. That is what I could EDUCATION and MANNERS.

Anyway this is just my humble opinion, one in a sea of more points of view that mill around in the internet.

The Battle for the Mr. Moonlight title

I may use this blog to express my many (many, many, many)thoughts about HP and the like, but I also may use this media to spill my guts about me or my likes (and dislikes)and sometimes my tortured past (XD). Well, this time I am going to tell you how it begin my fascination with HP, and overall MM.

It began when a friend of mine got me hooked up on Super Junior (a Korean Boy band). Also my best friend introduced me, at the same, to the (deceased)website STAGE 6. While looking for videos of Super Junior to download one of the side capshots of other related videos showed the image of a MM video. And how did I know it was a MM video?

In mid 2004, I was a hardcore otaku, I did not worshiped any anime or manga in particular, I just liked anime in general. As otaku, I bought national and international magazines about anime, one of the international ones was Dokan (a Spanish magazine). The issue I had had an article about MM: who they were, how it was created, why it was created, etc., etc., etc. and also the issue came with a cd-rom. It had the music videos of two singles: Koi no Dance Site and Happy Summer Wedding. So I also had the idea to look for them in You Tube for more videos and the like. But knowing me I would forget about it. And so, it did happened XD. But after 4 years I kind of rediscovered them in STAGE 6 and so my obsession began XD.

From all the videos I downloaded, the one that made a hardcore fan of MM was Mr. Moonlight - Ai no Big Bnad. Thus the name of this blog and thus my fascination with (Choux5 Kakkoi) Yossy.

Obviously in less than 3 months I learned all I had to learned about them: biography, discography, scandals, pairings and whatnot. I got my best friend into it too,which is a big bonus. You see, in certain ways, he is my provider of MM videos XDDD.

So to explain the title of this entry: The Battle for the Mr. Moonlight title.

You see, Yossy earned this title. Since the release of this MM single, this song was sung by in many MM and HP concerts by herself (along with Nacchi and Gocchin, MM singers at the time of the single's release) or Yossy with any other line-up until her Graduation and after that only by Nacchi, Gocchin and herself (OG's at the time) in the 10th anniversary of Hello Project Concert. But when the expansion plans came to be, the song track for the first concert outside of Japan happened to have Mr. Moonlight in it and Takahashi Ai was to sing it.

Obviously, I was flabbergasted when I read this. I thought: How can a mousy-looking girl could sing such a strong song? Do not get me wrong: I do like Ai-chan very much. You see, she is one of the little few gifted with such a beautiful voice and very cute and girly girl. I just could not connect Ai with Mr. Moonlight. Thanks to this song, Yossy gain her role as not the only boy in Morning Musume (See Mechaike Bakajo Test)but also her PIMP persona which she stills sports even though she, herself, tries to be more feminine.

But today I was proven wrong. Like always I was doing my routine inspections for 1444 stuff (meaning pics, videos, fanfics)and I was looking for this part of the Taiwan concert. Let me tell you: I was not disapointed, I was beyond awe with her performance, it made realize how much I miss the old days with the OG of MM. But let's not look at the past but move forward for the better times. She totally nailed the PIMP persona, making it more sexy at the same time, giving it part of her personality as well.

Since she assumed the role of leader for MM, I thought she really was not up to. At the time I was just seeing the Wonderful Hearts Concert with the new line up of MM, ºC-ute, Berryz Koubou, Bouno and the rest. I was disheartened to say the least, there was no spirit at all. What I did not thought was that they may need time to improve and prove that MM was not death (Miki's scandal happened with her posterior suspension)and that they were still kicking and screaming.

And improve they did and they are still doing. I would like to see Yossy and Ai singing Mr. Moonlight in a posterior concert, they would make an awesome duet. They have the voices, the personas, the attitude. They have it ALL. Anyway it is just my humble opinion. Leave a message if you like.

Of New Singles and PV's

Recently I have been seeing and listening some of the Singles HP has just released: Berryz Kobo - Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance, ºC-ute - Edo No Temaru Uta II, Tsukishima Kirari staring Kusumi Koharu - Papan Cake.

After the long process of searching for them, downloading them and seeing the entire videos from 3 to 5 minutes that said songs normally last, I can only ask Tsunku: What are you smoking?...I want some of that!

Really, I find them aggravating to the sight...not all singles mind you; but if you are not careful, you may go blind XD.

Ok, let's get serious and down to business.

Firstly, I understand that the public these 3 aim for are in a range between 9 to 16 o more years old (in the case of the first two, wotas go from 15 to 35 year old men worshiping girls that could be their sisters or daughters), but really Tsunku is going to far in music content (meaning lyrics): Do you know that there is a OL monkey, a Yankii monkey and many more? (Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance), I never knew you could write a ode to the pancake (Papan Cake).

Secondly, the costumes. Ok, It's reasonable that the girls use this type of costumes, after all they are kids, let's not give the wotas more flesh than they are use to, please!...too friggin' bright...At least they have better dance routines (in some cases XDD)

On third place, when Tsunku-san announced that MM was going to have a more mature look (not only in presence but in song content) I was just HAPPY (crying-of-joy HAPPY) with the news. Let's be realistic here, in Japan they may be considered Idols but if Tsunku wants to compete with the rest of Asia, he may want to reconsidered his idea. When MM began their lyrics were mature, with a very groovy-80's sound. After 2000 these changed (it was not for good...not for worse), they had a more kiddy sound. Every song after Renai Revolution 21 left you with a teenage feeling. I admit I do like all their songs, even those that do not make sense at all (cough-The-Peace-cough); Those songs may be cute and all but if they wanted to compete that is not the product they would want to deliver to rest of Asia.

Then, I though (stupidly), maybe this was going to be applied to the rest of groups and soloist...well, WRONG! It was only for MM. There is so much one (and their fans) can say about what should be done to enhance their fav groups careers but in the end the final decision falls on Tsunku and Up-front.

After all this you may ask: why are you not drilling ºC-ute's single at all? Because for the simple reason that I do like this song. I like the jazzy feeling in the middle of the song, their costumes and (even though very little) the PV too.

Now do not get me wrong I like the others too. I must admit that I have not listen all of Berryz discography to make a more complete opinion about them, but I have not laughed with a single since W's Robo Kiss (Happy Version). Their faces are way to funny, the monkey costume could have been better, but all in all it was acceptable to watch.

In the case of Kusumi Koharu (a.k.a. Miracle), her voice is way too high for this song. She has a naturally nasal voice that goes well with certain songs but not in this one. This girl would be more successful if she did left her Kirarin persona for at least a day (who knew that being a seiyu could create you a multiple personality disorder xDD).

Well I wish them the best and lest hope that in the next single they do a much better job...I know they can.

So many may wonder: WTF is HP?
It stands for HelloProject.

Hello Project is a group of (female) artists under contract with Up Front agency, run by Tsunku, ex lead singer from Sharan Q (known for songs like Single Bed). The main group in this project is Morning Musume (also known as Momusu or MM for short, or Jou An Sao Nu Jou, in chinese).

This group started with 5 singer (ex finalist of a contest for the next lead singer for Shanran Q) and a bet made by Tsunku that if the sales of their single ("Ai no Tane"is their first single but is not count as such) reached or surpassed 50, 000 copies in the next five days of its release, he would personally promote them. They accomplished this in the 3rd day.

The main rarity or characteristic is not only their bubble gum pop songs or their somtimes crappy dances or or way to much fake jewerly they have on their sometimes (if not everytime) skimpy costumes, but the process called GRADUATION in which the older members leave the group to become solist singer or be part of other groups. Almost al sub-groups pass for this process, as a result we have a great range of solist artist.

Also there are sub-groups, shuffles and temporary groups. Obviuosly not very different from MM except for facts such as geography (Country Musume - Hokaido girls, Coconuts Musume - Hawaiian girls), age (Berryz Koubou, C-ute,. Those two began as backup dancers) and many others (new project: Nice Girl Project - girls with glasses).

As you can read this agency recruits girls from 5 to 21, everyone more different from the other, one more cute than the other, with a especial je ne sais quoi or talent (or lack thereof). Not many of them are vocally gifted, but they pull it of the best they can. Another characteristic they are famous for is scandal (pregnant before marriage, coughed smoking, fake personal information, etc.).

Thus, this blog to write my thoughts, opinions and any other ideas plaguing my mind at the time about HP. So I would like to remember those whose may visit this blog: Please, pretty please with an apple on top (...a cherry is too little for this kind of favor xDD) if you get offended then DO NOT ENTER HERE AGAIN. Let's avoid conflict people. Peace and Love and all that crap...

I think this is enough presentation for this blog, as for me I will tell you certain things you just need to know about me:
